My fiance and I went here for Valentine's Dinner. They had a four course menu. The music was wonderful. Servers were pleasant and great to deal with. The view was amazing. All of the food was incredible from apps to dessert. We have never had such a good Prime Rib in our lives and we have been places...Thank you so much!!
1st time. A bit pricey. But then again the ribs were very meaty, baked beans-home made were delicious & coleslaw tasty. The atmosphere was very enjoyable & waitresses friendly & attentive Vegetarian options: Vegi burger not always on the menu. But they have them. Very pricey for a skinny burger
We just ate here for the very first time celebrating our anniversary. Wow... where to start. Cocktails are amazing way beyond what I expected to have in Bridgenorth. Great balanced drinks. The caesar salad was spot on and the pasta and Once Around the Smoker entrees were to die for. Some the best prepared meats we've ever had. Creme Brule as a finale. Couldn't have celebrated at a better place. Chef and staff were around to wish us Happy Anniversary. Super impressed and will definitely be back!! Parking: Massive parking lot.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Dock and dine at its finest! We had the pulled pork sandwich, the turkey club and the C-dawg. Side of fries and tasty all around. Summer white sangria and draft. Good stuff.
Made a reservation here for our Anniversary. Delightful meal. What a beautiful location too. It was our first time there and we will be back. A step above pub menus and fantastic quality.ots and lots of meat!! Most everything is smoked, so you need to enjoy that. I don't. So I had the Ceasar salad and it was Amazing- really amazing!
Chemong Lodge, Bridgenorth, Ontario Outstanding BBQ!!! For many years I have on countless occasions driven by the road signs indicating the turn to Chemong Lodge a long established 1962 venerable institution in this area. While intrigued, have never visited. Another ‘must visit’ on my agenda was Dr. J’s BBQ & Brews, Peterborough, Ontario delayed by a global pandemic. The universe has aligned to provide a solution. In May 2021, Adam and Addison Brown, owners of Dr. J’s BBQ & Brews, purchased Chemong Lodge in Bridgenorth from the Northey Family, opening Victoria Day weekend for online orders. Since available for patio & now indoor dining. AND a takeout menu available hot & ready OR vacuum sealed. While not yet ready for indoor/patio dining options the Lodge has a funky, comfortable vibe. Yesterday we enjoyed mobile dining in Our Silver Lining: Ultimate Lodge Platter 1 Full Rack of Ribs, 1lb of Wings, 1/2 Ib Brisket, 1/2 lb pulled pork, 2 Smoked Sausages, 1 large Caesar Salad, 1 Large Mac'N'Cheese, 1 Large Baked Beans, 1 Large Southern Slaw Dry Texas Bold BBO we order sauce on the side Also available a Pineapple Chipotle BBQ for future consideration LEFTOVERS RULE –Sweetie had to save some items for another go. I persevered to sample some of everything. It is all delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! If you BBQ, you’ll Chemong Lodge.
We used to visit occasionally over the past few years and it was always just okay, but ever since the new owners took over it's our FAVOURITE spot to be!! The energy and atmosphere is amazing, food is incredible best nachos I've ever had, speciality cocktails are soo good and the staff!!! The staff are what make this place so good. The live music we saw the one night Cary Shields was excellent, so much fun. So energetic and fun and we just love coming to visit! Platter for two - Came with Ribs, Brisket, and a LB of wings. Side of coleslaw and beans as well. For the price, decent amount. We also tried a side of Mac n' cheese, and found that it was alright but wasn't exciting as we were led to believe. The style of how brisket was done was very good. Would rate in my top 5. The ribs were Excellent in my opinion. Tender, meaty, not too much sauce but at sane time, not a pile of mush either so very nice. The wings while tasty, were dusted wings fried. I would have preferred smoked to keep the theme of rest of the platter. All in all, we did enjoy and would go back to try one of their handhelds or other dishes.
Somewhat disappointed with the change in ownership. While the upscale menu and pricing might be a welcomed change I mostly miss the home style cooked meals and casual dining. The view and ambiance hasn't changed, but pricing has! This had been our perennial place for lunch in years past while out on our motorcycle rides to the Kawarthas. Post pandemic pricing has gotten out of hand and really not what I had expected regardless of historical significance. While the food was fine the portions were not the same anymore. We left wanting a bit more from the selected menu items. Vegetarian options: A small variety of salads and non-meat burger. Parking: Plenty of spaces! Wheelchair accessibility: Level front entrance. Back patio outdoors might be an issue although there is an area at the front that is accessible for outdoor dining.
My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday and the atmosphere was amazing. Very homely with the lighting and candles. Service was great and the food choices were much different than other fine dunning restaurants I've been to. Food was delicious and presentation was good. Would definitely come here again in the near future.Food: 4/5
