I had a very interesting and not so pleasant encounter with an employee at this spa earlier today. I came to the neighbourhood for a meeting and did research before about this spa so I arrived prior to my meeting as I wanted to inquire and purchase a gift certificate as a gift. I parked in a spot labelled with their business name and got out of my car and headed towards the pay station near the boathouse restaurant. As soon as I started walking away from my car, a lady came out of the spa raising her voice that I cannot park in this spot as I’m not a customer. I explained that I’m heading to the meter and that I’m coming right in to make a purchase but she proceeded to raise her voice that I am not a customer. I said I definitely will not be now and turned around and walked to my car. The lady came back out with an orange cone and placed in the spot where I had tried to park. I can’t imagine who she was saving the spot for as there was one other empty spot designated to her business. I re-parked in another empty spot without her sign and proceeded to my meeting without making a purchase here as I had planned. Very negative experience overall. Would definitely not recommend this place if this behaviour is any indication of how they treat other existing and potential customers. I would recommend treating everyone fairly and not assuming the worst over a parking spot. Needless to say, when I came out of the meeting the 3 spots designated for this business were all empty and had orange cones on them. Can’t imagine the need to turn away potential customers with so much empty parking.
