Amazing bakery that specializes in Portuguese sweets and pastries and an owner with lovely attitude
I am simply giving 2 stars for the variety of treats in this bakery. I ordered the slice of carot cake and asked if there were any raisins in it and was told no. Excited to dig in, I got home and dug out a cluster of raisins. Highly disappointed, couldn't enjoy the cake and there weren't any walnuts in the cake either. The cream cheese frosting was delicious and that's about it.The rainbow cookies are dry and stale. Maybe I'll try the other selections? I'm not impressed.
A cute small bakery. Fast service. Seems to be newly redone. Good pastéis. Even better bakery pizza. People tend to just pop in for an order to go but there are a few nice bar seats facing the outdoors Seems to only be one woman working here but she's quick and doesn't stop working.
love this bakery. fresh bread and biscuits and pastries. highly recommend their rainbow cookies and Portuguese egg tart and CAVACA my fav they make a fantastic sauce slice as well but they usually are sold out by 1 pm. I see that this place could be compared to Seven Stars but they are two very different bakeries doing different things. Don’t go in here expecting another Seven Stars because it is not!
Purchased a bag of bread and sadly discovered after arriving home that the bread was from the day before. Definitely a disappointment. For the store, it would be helpful to at least indicate to customers which bags are from the day before. For customers, you may want to ask when the bread or pastry you plan to buy was baked before taking it home.
I hesitate to even post this because they often run out early, but they make great donuts on Saturdays and Sundays. These are bakery quality classic donuts without all the beaugy, Instagram-post hype. Delicious and simple fair from a family run bakery that’s been here for decades. Nothing better.
Wondeful food, people and atomosphere; but most importantly the baked goods are amazing. Family run, the dedication to the food is top notch and the price is great; I always walk out with more then I intended on buying. I go in for the medium sized snacks, the cannoli, tiramisu and year round zeppole. But on occasion when I need to bring party foods I show up to grab a platter of the smaller snacks, custard tarts, cheese cake bites, baklava, butter balls, those chocolate crisp things, the list goes on...
The bakery is beautiful the lady who runs it is amazing and sweet her food is delicious my favorite is her lemon aqares there out standing I definitely remembered rit its the best
I loved this bakery when I lived in Providence as a student. I rented an apartment from the owner of the bakery, and stay in the same building. I ate too many sweets that year. The owners are extremely nice people who really left me alone as a renter, and they also gave us a bunch of baked goods when we moved out as a goodbye gift. Delicious snacks.
Amazing! Simply great! Was traveling to Providence from New York. Came to the bakery without research and planning. Bought about 6 pastries and one Portuguese sweet bread. Everything was super fresh and super delicious. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed a lot. Strongly recommend to everyone to visit the place, you won’t regret. Promise. Thank you very much!
