Silver Motel

Never come to this place.. I arrived at this hotel yesterday after paying for it with my Visa on the telephone. When I arrive there the manager which was a woman was sitting in front of the reception office with two men smoking marijuana and then even asked me if I wanted some. Are you serious?. After that, I had brought in my portable fireproof flame retardant stove that's specifically made to be fireproof for camping and I started to boil a little bit of water to make some tea. The owner saw what I was doing and went completely haywire. She told me to leave the room and didn't even refund me my money. I could understand if I had done some damage to the room like something had caught on fire or maybe something at spilled and damaged something. But like I said I was just boiling a little water to make some tea with a flame proof. Fire retardant fireproof portable little stove. I can understand her not allowing the stove in the room and boiling the water even though it was completely safe. What I don't understand is her attitude. How mean and aggressive she was with her boyfriend who who actually tried to start a fight with me when I was asking for my refund and she was telling me no. I told her I was going to call the police and then her boyfriend came flying in like a bat out of hell into the parking lot. Slamming on his brakes God forbid their was children around ,he starting to threaten me.. I told them to try to relax and to try to deescalate it because nothing happened. All that happened was a little bit of water boiling on a pot. There was no damage done. There was no smoke, no fire, nothing spilled. I couldn't believe the attitude the way they threw me out and not even refunded me. What do you expect when people are high on drugs I guess but a horrible experience will never come back here again. That woman manager and her hillbilly boyfriend were the worst people I've ever met while in southern Ontario. Unprofessional, aggressive and rude. Horrible horrible people.. there are proper ways to handle situations and to so aggressively throw me out of the room and refuse to refund me my money for a little water that was boiling in a pot when there was absolutely no damage done whatsoever. There are ways to handle situations and to become so aggressive and in front of the other customers of the hotel who couldn't believe that they were actually throwing me out for this and they're attitudes and for the refunding me. Even the other customers were shocked and said they will never come back there again. What do you expect from drug addicts running a hotel?...... I will reconsider coming back even though when everything did deescalate I asked the manager if she would reconsider because I had nowhere else to go and she said no. But I'm willing to reconsider coming back there and recommending the hotel to everyone if you guys do the right thing and refund me my money

The room was more than we expected.nClean ,organized and perfect for our needs.And great rates.nPlenty of outdoor space has been set up for the tenants to feel right at home.nGazebo for relaxing on wet or buggy evenings, plus a barbecue for the tenants to utilize if needed.All the amenities of home without being home.nView of nature from every angle .nSo peaceful here.nWe are definitely going back as the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome anytime.nNot often you find a gem such as this!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR RISK YOUR HEALTH. Horrible experience. The room was filthy. The refrigerator was dirty. The shower was disgusting. The remote was sticky. The bed stunk like old food, and the mattress was a metal cage covered in a dirty sheet. Never again. I don't give negative reviews, but this had to be said.

The room in which we stayed was quite nice. Quiet setting. However, be aware that the prices on the website for the motel are not updated and be prepared to pay a lot more if you don't ask about this. The new owners need to update the website information to accurately represent the room costs and descriptions. I always look at the information on the website, if there is one, before booking accommodations, and the price stated should be the one charged. The office manager, Terroleen, was very helpful and lovely to deal with. I would stay here again but I would also question the rates again if the website does not get updated before I do. The staff was very kind and outgoing. The rooms were clean, the price affordable, and the amenities were more than acceptable. There was a lovely gazebo on site.
