Silver Hills Camp Resort

Absolutely fantastic campground just a few minutes from the Sand Dunes ORV area. 50amp hookups are at most sites, and the bathrooms & showers are squeaky clean and cleaned frequently! seriously the bathrooms are impressive. The staff are all super nice, and all the rules are reasonable and common sense. Great for a family, or great for a dude's weekend out on the dunes. Silver Hills has become my go-to campground near Silver Lake Dunes!

Like others have mentioned, there rules and regulations are quite extensive for a campground. It’s an off-road community but they don’t cater to off-road enthusiasts. Staff is very quick to belligerently tell you what your doing wrong in there eyes. Very rude about how they dislike something, for example, like trying to get vehicles parked and what. The staff member that approached us was very rude. We just would have appreciated a nicer approach.nnIf you’re looking for a very clean campground, this is no doubt one of the best in that department. However, if you’re trying to move side by sides/other vehicles and what not, they are not lenient, even with us clearly trying to be quick. Gates close early, even before most of the town’s ice cream shops! Overall, it’s a nice campground but just want everyone to be aware that if you have a set up that’s a little harder to transfer your off road vehicles around, your probably better off finding a different campground.

We absolutely love this campground! Beautiful flat concrete pads, nice sized lots, trash pick up, swimming pool, clean bathhouses, all add up to a great camping experience. The proximity to the Dunes is so convenient as well!nWe bring more friends each time we come back.....we'll be back next year...and with more friends!

The bathrooms and entire campground is impeccable. We will be back for years to come. The kids make friends every time and have a blast exploring on the bikes. Staff and fellow campers are always super friendly. You cannot beat it here!

We have been staying at Silver Hills Campground for many years, including when the original owner had it. It is now much larger and very nice. The only small issue I had this visit is being close to the bathrooms, our site became like a interstate of people walking through our site to the bathroom..when you have dogs, it's a nucinse. Not sure how to stop it though...
