Silver Creek RV Resort

The silver lake sun retreat campground was very nice! We stayed in a one bedroom cottage and it had bunk beds in the hallway along with a full kitchen. The pool was very nice and heated. The jumping pillow and basketball courts were nice as well. Less than ten minutes to beach and restaurants.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This is the worst campground I have ever stayed at, the people that run this place are so unprofessional I was being harassed by one of their employees and I took my complaint to Lynn and she did nothing about it, I really think it's because my husband and I are a interracial couple, they are racist here, so my husband finally said something to the employee that was harassing me and now we are getting kicked out because my husband was defending me, this employee was targeting me and my husband he told me I need to keep my dog on a leach when he was, he threw a paper at me saying I am getting a Citation for my daughter being in the hot tub when she wasn't, he told my husband he needs to watch my daughter, while she was playing on our Cement pad, everyone had complaints about this employee over the years and no one did anything about it. My husband talk to someone at corporate and they told us too bad they want us gone and they don't have to go through any proper paperwork to kick us out, when we talk to the Sheriff he said Sun Retreats have to go through the proper paperwork to evict us and the guy at corporate said he knows better than the Sheriff and he doesn't have to. I have multiple people watch the employee target and harassing me but Sun Retreats does not care, why stay at a place that doesn't defend their guests and treat them like they are just a number.

My family loved our stay! Lynn greeted us with a big smile and a warm welcome! She was the best and made sure we had everything we needed for our weekend trip! The campground was beautiful and very clean! We will definitely be camping here again! Highly recommend staying here!

Stayed in a loft cabin for a trip to the dunes. The property was fantastic, well cared for and all very nice amenities. Greeted for our stay with a quick overview of the layout of the campground with a nice map and location called out for our stay. Playground equipment was fairly new, and they were working on adding wood chips for safety. Some areas of chips around the playground we're getting thin, so kudos on the upkeep. Pool was clean and well secured, kids had a lot of fun relaxing in that. Great shallow pool for toddlers, our two year old loved it. Nice to have an option for the younger kids. The cabin itself was not bad. Great porch area and picnic tables for every cabin. Fully stock kitchen with plates, cups, stove, fridge/freezer, microwave. Some door handles were a bit loose and the loft carpet was not vacuumed prior to our stay. I'm sure it's hard to get proper equipment up there. Some of the lights switches were not operating 100% of the time. Central air was very nice,

Stayed for a long weekend in a cabin, which looks great from the outside. Unfortunately they do not care for the inside of the cabins like they do the rest of the campground that’s kept in pristine condition.nWe pulled a large hairball from the tub drain that was preventing water from draining which left us standing in water during our shower, gross!nThere was also dry urine and hair on the toilet.nDon’t bother with making coffee with the pot that’s available to you. Mold was found all inside the coffee maker. And they want to charge $2 for a coffee at the store that is roughly 10 ounces…nNo instructions were given on whether you had to wash dishes upon departure but I’m glad we did based on other reviews I see here since it sounds like they charge you for dirty dishes. Luckily we brought our own dish rags - the sponge that was left for us at the sink was used and dirty, gross!nAll windows have blinds except the front door that is left completely open allowing for people to see right in.nI recommend bringing slippers no matter what time of year you stay, your socks will be filthy after walking around on the cabin floors, they are obviously not mopped after each stay.nDon’t plan on unpacking your things onto shelves or in drawers because those are not cleaned out either. Lots of dirt/hair that I wasn’t willing to put my belongings on.nIt’s a nice campground with a great pool/hot tub - it’s unfortunate that they cut corners on giving their cabin campers a clean place to stay.
