Silk Gallery, owned by Port Moody city councillor Zoe Royer, features fine art work by local and regional professional artists. Visit often! An exhibition of new works is curated every six weeks, with an opening reception and artist(s) in attendance.

The gallery is also home to CityState Consulting; a Design Firm within an Art Gallery in a Heritage Building on Gallery Row in Port Moody, the City of the Arts!

The Silk Gallery stands as the cornerstone of the quaint, story-book like gallery row. The gallery store front is picturesque. The heritage building, swinging signs and large, bright windows are welcoming to any visitor and promise an intimate experience. Once inside, the viewer is immediately drawn to the thoughtfully curated artwork surrounding the space and fitting ideally within the architecture of the space. The main foyer boasts grand gallery walls with bright, natural light streaming in from bay windows. The entire viewing experience is deeply intimate and one that you will go on to remember fondly. I will return to the Silk Gallery again and again.

I'd been here a few times with friends and was not disappointed. Art is made by local artists, and they have different exhibitions varying over time. During the summer, I brought a summer camp group of elementary school aged kids I was instructing here. The staff welcomed us in, and even gave the kids a bit of a tour. They absolutely loved it. Not only that, but one of the staff members showed us some architect designs that he also works on. The kids were fascinated by it and were so grateful.

Always filled with such a heartfelt curation of beautiful art. Go explore and go often!
