Come early, pick a shady spot, enjoy the day! Cost us 10$ for a family of 4. We stayed 3-4 hrs.
Good place to go with kids and friends in the city no long drive or expense gas or only $10 for family
View on the hill looking down onto the Bow and Lake Sikome where you can swim..no pets allowed inside the enclosed lake area and there's an entry fee. Great walks with your dog from parking lot to the river or up this hill.
I dug a hole. Found out the sand is about a foot and a half deep hit a plastic layer. Would dig again.
Decent facility. They need an adult only section of the beach. It would be nice to be able to enjoy it and relax without kids kicking sand all over you. If they keep the south entrance closed it stays quiet at that end which is pretty nice. Still reccomend an adults only section
This place is great to spend some time refreshing in the cool lake. There's lots of space to set up your stuff, but the natural shade of the trees is a bit far from the beach itself, so bring an umbrella or one of those beach shelters. The changing rooms and washrooms are clean. There's also life jackets for the little ones.
Great place to cool off in the summer. $10 for the whole family and there's everything you need. The water was so cold but the kids love playing in the sand.
Website isn’t updated to let ppl know that the south parking lot isn’t open. The gate that connects the east and main parking lot is never opened anymore. We had to drive back up Deerfoot to get to Bow Bottom just to park. The kids had to wait 30 minutes longer to get in. And on top of it we have to pay $10 for a man made lake that use to be free!!!!!!!!!!!
Small yet very nice. Been going here since I was a kid, so maybe it's nostalgia, but I enjoy it. Weirdly, there's signs everywhere that there aren't any lifeguards on dity but then there's lifeguards everywhere, including one riding one of those boards in the lake, so idk.
Never opened on time once! The teen staff were at the gates before opening, but never once in the 11 times that I have been here this season did they open at 10 am. Typically people were waiting for at least ten minutes in line before they would unlock the gate. The lake itself is fine, and a good option for those not wanting to travel far
