Sidewinders American Grill

Finally got the opportunity to try Sidewinders and had a less than pleasant experience. Adorable baby at the table next to us projectile vomited a rather large puddle of a rejected bottle feeding. Luckily for us, the majority of said fluid made it on to the floor with only a small proportion splashing up on to our shoes. Parents were apologetic and embarrassed and understandably left quickly after notifying the server. Workers solution? Set a caution sign over it and let it muddle. Had to finally ask to be relocated to a new table. Caution sign sat on top of the mess for the next 45 minutes of our dining experience. Wait staff continually walked by to serve tables a foot away from the vomit. Food was mediocre and pricey to boot.

Short Version: I wanted Sidewinders to be a "West Bozeman" answer to Ale Works: it has a beautiful facility, casual atmosphere, and a great tap list. Unfortunately, in all other respects, Sidewinders disappoints. Our server was untrained. The food? Let's just say that, in a group of eight hungry people who had been playing in the snow all day, we left some of the appetizers we ordered unfinished. ("Crispy Baked Brussels Sprouts?" More like "Soggy Boiled From-a-Freezer-Bag Brussels Sprouts.") Sidewinders is in desperate need of a quality manager who will train its wait staff and check the quality of the food coming from its kitchen. For the time being, I won't be going back.

Sidewinders has a great beer selection. If you run out of places in Bozeman to find a $13 hamburger, give it a try. I've had a couple of different burgers here and I have to say I had trouble telling the difference between the two of them. But the service is fast and friendly, the food is good, and did I mention the beer selection?

I love this restaurant! The food is wonderful, I recommend the Parmesan Garlic Truffle fries. The burgers are truly amazing. My favorite is the Rueben Sandwich and french fries with garlic aioli. The service is prompt, friendly, and fun. A great place for date night, watching sports, or meeting a group of friends. The wait can be long but worth it!

Stylish place with a dozen or more TVs. Amazing choice of beers, and fantastic food. The spinich dip was particularly yummy, and my friend had a huge, juicy burger on gluten-free bun. Although it was busy, it was easy to have a conversation. Very helpful and friendly staff on our visit.
