This was our best serendipitous restaurant during a 4-day June 2022 trip to Greater Halifax. We very much enjoyed our Buddha Bowl with egg, crispy chicken and vegetables and we split a bottle of house white wine. The food was wonderfully seasoned and proved to be plenty in one order for the two of us to share. The energy in the restaurant was great, and the service kind and attentive. As my partner said, “This was not a ‘destination restaurant,’ but a lucky find that met all our needs.” Highly recommended.
Side Hustle came recommended by a few people, and it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was fantastic. The server was new and lovely, and everyone around us was raving about their food too. I can’t wait to have a reason to drive to the city again to visit Side Hustle.
We were super excited to check out the new location, and are so glad we did! We thoroughly enjoyed our Smashies and Mac Fries, hands down our favourite burger in town. The new location is super cute and very welcoming! Our server, Gen, was awesome, and we can’t wait to join you again! Thank you, Gen!
Great location. You definitely get the downtown vibes without having to cross the bridge. Server was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. We weren't rushed at all even though the place was packed. Ordered garlic cheese fries and it was made to perfection. Will be back for sure.
My fav lunch spot. The smash burger is of course amazing, but every meal I've had here has been incredible. Great beer selection, super friendly service, good prices and nice vibe. I'll be back again and again.
New location alert!! The new spot is very cool with interesting and minimal decor and design elements. Classic side hustle dishes we know and love, smashie, chicken sammy, and fries were all delish! I think the location will be amazing for the summer! Can't wait to come back for more cocktails and snacks!
What a great place for dine out. It has a simple menu with great food, and drinks. The owner’s and their staff go out of the way to meet your needs with friendly, prompt service. This great little gem is worth the visit. What a welcome addition to the neighbourhood!
Awesome time here, can't say enough about the quality of the food and the interesting options. Do yourself a favour and try the dumplings, they are amazing. Not the biggest on-tap selection, but a good spread of cocktails, wine and beer available. The service was a bit slow, seemed like they may have been understaffed on the day of our visit. Still, the servers that were there were very personable and pleasant. Vegetarian options: Their menu is coded to state which items have veg options and vegan options, very easy to understand and tons of choices for all diets.
Fantastic in every way. Great food. Great location. Great atmosphere. Great service. If in Dartmouth make sure to check it out. If in Halifax it's worth the short water taxi ride across the harbour and the 2 minute walk up the hill. You will not be disappointed.
LOVED this spot! Menu is packed with flavor and doesn't disappoint! I highly recommend the cauliflower. They take a boring vegetable and transform it into something magical pictured. Great atmosphere too!Food: 5/5
