Our family wants to thank pharmacist ADEL who acted with compassion, professionalism, and kindness on his evening shift Sept.11, 2025. We were discharged from the hospital at 11pm, in need of 3 urgent prescriptions, that the doctor said must be initiated immediately. We called 7 pharmacies searching for stock of the 3 meds needed, and only this location had them after speaking to Adel on the phone. He knew we were on the way from the hospital, expected to arrive 15min before the store closing at midnight. He acted promptly and did his best to fill the 3 prescriptions at such a late notice, given the urgency of the situation. We thank you kindly. This pharmacy is lucky to have a pharmacist like you!
One price on items, higher price at checkout. Prior to purchasing I had even asked a worker about the price. The manager then refused to honour the sticker price. He was aggressive, yelling, threatening not to sell any items to me when I said it seemed “scammy.” He told me he’d refuse sell to me for “arguing with the staff.” All because i pointed out a serious pricing issue. He was unprofessional and his behaviour was out of control.
This Shoppers Drug Mart is OK - I dislike that all the perfume testers are in a drawer, so you need to ask the SA if they have the tester. They have an OK selection on beauty items. The parking lot is a good size, with accessible parking and the automatic doors worked. This location also has self checkout, however there was a line to use them since there were only 3 kiosks to check-out with, and only 1 cash open.nOverall I will go to the location again, but it's not my favorite one.
This is concerning the lady pharmacist working October 12th who would not give my husband the antibiotics needed following a tick bite because the head of the tick was still embedded in the skin. My husband went to the Almonte hospital emergency department and after a 4 hour wait the doctor gave him the antibiotics and was very surprised that the pharmacist did not give them to him. The doctor did not remove the embedded tick head, so the pharmacist should have sold him the antibiotics. Very disappointed with her.
Forgot my prescription while travelling, went in the morning and put in a request to transfer my prescription for 3 tabs to avoid side effects non-controlled prescription. Was told to call back at 1pm. Waited 20 minutes on hold to be hung up on then went back in person. They told me they couldn’t get a hold of the pharmacy another shoppers but would keep trying and would text me when my prescription was ready. Now it’s the evening and I haven’t heard anything. Seems to be zero competence in the pharmacy here.
