I booked vaccinations online for myself and my four children. We got the confirmation and reminder email for all of us with the time and date and when we showed up for the appointment we were not in their system. The pharmacist on shift kept trying to blame me for the mess up even after I showed him my appointment email. I completely understand that sometimes computers make mistakes but for him to blame me for it instead of apologizing was absolutely horrible customer service. He tried to blame me in 4 different ways as to why it was my fault we weren't in his system and kept saying the system doesn't allow people to book the way that I booked even while he was looking at the confirmation email on my phone.nI asked if we should go and he said no then kept blaming me for the mistake then finally said he couldn't do it because I booked it wrong and everyone knows how to book it properly.nCustomer service goes a long way and I won't be returning after being repeatedly blamed for their mistake. Some courses in how to treat people would be beneficial so that this doesn't happen to someone else.
My recent experience at this Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy was incredibly distressing. I went to get emergency contraception Plan B, and the pharmacist—an older Black man in his mid-40s with gray hair and rectangular glasses —treated me with a disturbing lack of respect and professionalism. He questioned my need for Plan B, going so far as to pull up my file, sighing as if disappointed, and even suggesting that I didn’t have a “real emergency.” His tone was judgmental, implying that I shouldn’t be asking for this medication at all, and he threatened not to give it to me. It was as if he thought he had the right to decide whether my situation qualified as an emergency or not.nnThe way he handled this was degrading and invasive—no one should have to justify their choices like this or feel judged when seeking critical health care. When I went to pick up the Plan B, he actually tossed it on the counter from a distance, making it clear that he wanted nothing more to do with me. This experience left me feeling uncomfortable, ashamed, and deeply uneasy knowing that this person still works here and could treat other women the same way. Shoppers Drug Mart seriously needs to review this behavior and hold staff to higher standards of respect and care for all customers. No one deserves to be made to feel this way, especially in such vulnerable circumstances.
Shoppers was great. Then Art the pharmacy owner left.Things like Rx orders were not being filled on time & phone calls weren't being answered & lineups were so long. There were talks from customers that they were leaving to go somewhere else. As very long term customers and being a health care worker i felt it only fair to be patient & I'm glad we did!nAll of these issues have improved to some extent & I must say we like the new colour code on the rx labels, easier to read. The new owner & team has been very helpful with new Rx's & info.nKeep up the good work!
This beauty boutique is beyond exceptional Dawn at dior really knows the products and is so helpful. Vanessa was at Chanel sad to see her leave, a new person was in place today, I'm sure she will be great , the place is always in great spirits and very helpful maybe due to a manager Alla who can recommend or help you find anything not just one person but a awsome TEAM. Thanks for all of your help and happy holidays.
This is absolutely the worst pharmacy I've ever used. Every time we show up to have a prescription refilled, the wait is always at least one hour. They claim you can call ahead and have the prescription prepared and ready before you come in however everytime we try to call, no one ever answers the phone. Today, I tried to call 5 times, so I went in, and they told me the wait would be 2-3 hours to fill 30 pills. We will never use a Shoppers Pharmacy again. The little Pharmacy down the street filled it in less than 10 minutes.
