Shoppers Drug Mart

A friend had a hip replacement and the hospital faxed the prescriptions to Shoppers Drug Mart in North Hill Shopping Centre. I came at 11:30 AM to pick up and was informed they would be ready at 4PM. I explained the prescriptions were for pain management and we didn’t want the pain to get away on him.nThey said 2PM. I was here just after 2PM and waited behind eight people to be told the meds still weren’t ready and come back in a couple of hours. Once again I explained about the pain management after surgery and he didn’t seem to care about that or my time. I wouldn’t even give this pharmacy one star if I could,nUncaring staff.nTerrible service.nLook at the previous reviews, you will see that this is consistent and not improving.

It's great that this Shoppers is open till midnight if you need something that you ran out of. Or if you need that last minute nail colouror make up. The ladies who work in the beauty department always help.

0 stars! Staff at the pharmacy is terrible! I have been coming here for years and each year it is worse. I periodically go to different pharmacies and this one is by far the worst. Customer service is not existent and they don’t care about the people they are there to help. It must only be the dregs of pharmacy staff that would work in the place. The culture overall is horrible.

Fancy immunization booking tool online.nSadly it is uncorrelated to stock available at the facilities.nSo when you show up on time for your appointment, you may or may not get your shot.nI suspect the staff at the facility are to blame for not bothering to have stock for booked appointments.nAdding insult to incompetent management, the staff was fantastically dismissive and rude. They couldn't have cared less for not being able to hold up their end of the appointment bargain.nnNot sure why I'm surprised. It is not my first time encountering this very scenario with Shoppers.

If I could give these guys 0 stars I would - they are absolutely horrendous, dishonest, and not accountable. Several recent experiences: doctor faxed prescription to the office, they deny receiving it turns out it was there but they told me they didn’t have it without actually checking the fax machine. I called again the next day at 11, confirm they have the prescription. I specifically ask if they can fill it, the pharmacist “checks” and says, yup we have it in stock and to come to the pharmacy at 4. Show up at 4, they don’t have the medication. Why would they tell me to come if they have no intention of filling the prescription? Why wouldn’t they call me when they went to fill the prescription and realized they didn’t have the medication? No explanation offered. Seems like the right thing to do might be for the staff to call and find out where I should go to pick up meds? NOPE…why bother doing the right thing. Bring another prescription for my son there, we have 80% coverage through my plan and 80% coverage through my wife’s plan. Confirmed beforehand that it was a covered treatment. They say nope, it costs $180. Go to the neighborhood pharmacy on 14th street and they confirm it is free of charge. TLDR: AVOID THIS PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS.
