Shilanski & Associates Inc., helps families articulate their goals and develop real life financial plans.

As a family owned and operated firm, we get it.

Life isn’t always black and white which means that planning needs to be an ongoing process, not a formula set in stone. Each person, each family member has to be taken into consideration and we have to be able to adapt to the “curveballs” that life throws at us.

At Shilanski & Associates Inc, we have a passion for service and an unwavering commitment to each of our clients.

For us, financial planning begins with education. Since 1981 we have educated people throughout the State of Alaska and the United States on financial principles such as: successful money management, financial strategies for successful retirement, estate planning, savvy social security and federal employee benefits. Throughout the relationship we establish with our clients, we continue to educate them so that they feel empowered and informed to make decisions.

Our speciality is bringing a concierge level of financial planning to our clients. To us this means holistic planning taking into consideration spending plans, insurance needs, investments, tax planning, retirement planning and estate planning. As we get to know our clients, we are able to develop strategies based on their individual needs and wants.

We are an independent firm, which means that we are not beholden to big insurance or investment companies that can only work with proprietary products. Instead, we work with a variety of financial companies in pursuit of finding appropriate investments that are suited to particular investors.

We are licensed in the State of Alaska.
