I was happy to discover Japanese Acupuncture conveniently located close to me in Kitsilano. I gladly give my highest recommendation to Masamichi Daichan Shibata! I had experienced the gentler Japanese acupuncture practice when I was living in Japan but wasn't aware of it here in Vancouver. I was experiencing chronic neck and hip pain and got a hearty recommendation for him within the running community. As a high level runner himself, he is able to understand my particular treatment. He has also been able to diagnose and treat my neck pain from computer use as well. I didn't feel these thinner Japanese needles and felt better right away. He was also able to recommend after care and stretches to me also. Masamichi is a very knowledgeable, gentle, and caring medical practitioner and I am grateful for his ongoing care.

I have been seeing Dr.Shibata for a couple of years now he has treated me from extreme period pain, cramps I can not believe what a difference acupuncture can make. He helped me with hormonal imbalance now I'm almost pain free or I have to say 95% better than it was before. His knowledge and calm presence make you feel so relaxed as soon you enter the door, he has amazing energy around him. Thank you for all you do !
I came to this acupuncture clinic with a 10/10 lower back pain that prevented me from sleeping during the night for days. The pain was so strong even when I cough! I was taking pain killers every 4 hours. Daichan started the first acupuncture/ acupressure treatment and I felt the difference after half an hour, and the pain was 5 /10! I Stopped taking pain killers aft we the first session. I continued the treatments, had 4 sessions so far, the pain now is 1/10 and improving. Daichan is highly experienced and very friendly with a welcoming smile. This clinic is Highly recommended !
