Sheridan Valley Motel

This place is a real dump. Stayed there with my wife last winter and checked out early. I had to applolojize to my wife. Looks fine from the outside but the inside is another story. I’d really be surprised if this place is still open a year from now. Parking lot is usually empty...for a good reason.

My family had the back building. It worked perfect for the grandboys. They could run around the hallway and make as much noice as they wished. The fire pit right out side our door was a bonus. We put the kids to sleep, and did not have to worry. Tammy and Jim were very friendly and accommodating to all of us. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were were clean and perfect for Up North!

We had a family emergency with our 22 year old Daughter getting into a serious auto accident so we made a mad dash to Gaylord once we got word. After arriving after 3.5hours of driving we called around to find a place to stay. Well Big Ticket was going on so every place was filled but we were told to call surrounding areas with no success. After running out of options our soon to be son in law told us about Sheridan Valley. What a gem of a place. So clean, comfortable and they were so wonderful to us although we rolled in at a super late hour. Great experience. Love, love, love this Motel. We were able to take hot showers without running out of hot water. We slept so very well. It was quiet and just a delight. We have traveled alot and I wish cleanliness was a priority at different places. Sheridan Valley impressed me and my Husband. Its quaint, cozy and clean. Super happy with our emergency stay. We came back the next night and plan to be back for an upcoming vacation, cancelling other plans. Its rare to find such a clean place to stay thats quiet and comfortable. Thank you Sheridan Valley.

This place is absolutely wonderful. The new owners are very pleasant and accommodating; they have coffee ready in the morning; they are working on remodeling throughout; our room was clean and bright and ready for our stay. They also allow dogs. Our dog is the most important part of our trip. She is a german shorthaired pointer. Without having a place to go with our pet we would not be able to take vacation. We are so grateful to have a place like this to go; it is definitely a hidden gem. The owners are genuine in their desire to help their customers and go above and beyond. We would give them 6 stars if we could!!! Telling all our friends and family who are also dog people, now they have a place to vacation with their pets!!! Hunting, Fishing, and the great Outdoors here we come. Thank you so very much to the new owners Tammy and Jim, we will be back soon to stay again!!!
