Elk View Cabins

I went here 25 years ago. Or family visited yearly in February. Bob would take the kids on his snowmobile. He would feed the elk out our window so the kids could see up close. It was awesome. The cabins had everything we needed, I'm OCD clean so that is why there are 4 stars not 5. But it was definitely something is suggest to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing break from "life" and to meet one of the nicest people ever. His wife was awesome as well. :

This is a nice place to get away and be with nature. Our family has been staying here for many years. We really enjoy the elk viewing. Bob is a great guy !

The owner, Bob, is the kindest person in the world! His cabins are off of the beaten path; surrounded by hills, trees and nature. We stay in the Chalet cabin once a year in January. It’s the perfect size for the two of us although the cabin has 2 full queen size beds upstairs. At night, the deer and occasionally the Elk come out of the woods to eat the food that Bob puts out for them daily. Seriously the coolest experience. Watching them and the white tales in their natural habitat at so a close distance is something to remember. Love this place, the surroundings and the hospitality! Highly recommend.

Truly removed from society! Elk tracks and signs everywhere! Just prepare and watchout for the ticks!! Trails galore in some very remote Elk Country!

Wonderful rustic cabin and campground. Quiet, scenic and nestled in a glorious deep forest setting. The owner and veteran elk hunter and guide Bob Whitney does private elk tours and knows where to look. No frills, but genuine deep woods camping.

Deer right near the cabins. Sky so clear that you can see the galaxies. Best place to get away and enjoy nature.

Bob the owner has been guiding for several years and has over 300 successful hunts for Elk over the years. Truly a Michigan legend, when it comes to that.

The owner Bob is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. The cabins out in the woods were you can enjoy the wild life and Bob is full of information about the area great place to get away and enjoy some quiet time

Most beautiful place that I've ever been to. My husband and I and our 17 year old son went up there 20 years a go.my husband Drew a Elk permit. Just now looked at back up I think I'd like to go there with my husband for our 40th anniversary this year. Love the place.

Awesome get away! Bob is the best, plenty of firewood and always some kind of wildlife nearby.
