A must try spot, especially from all the hype on social media. The food was good, the service was alright and the atmosphere was really great. The portions are a little small compared to other places. The flavors are good and overall not a bad place to go and try. You won't regret going here, especially because the inside looks very nice, and the vibe you get from it is one of a kind.
The restaurant itself is so nice and neat. The walls are so nice when you pay attention to the details in them. The food is so good. The shawarma sandwich was really good. I was a little bit disappointed with the halloumi bites as we were supposed to get 2 and we barely got one and a half. We had the poutine as well. We didn’t really like the Shelby sauce because it tasted like ketchup and it didn’t actually taste like a poutine really. We had a good experience overall for sure though. The washrooms are very clean and they have shattafas which i really appreciate. Parking: Its in a plaza so there is a lot of parking
On our way back from an even my nearby, we stopped by on a Sunday evening. The location was busy. Staff busy preparing food, we assumed it would be quick takeaway. First the limited options for vegans and vegetarians. Second after we ordered we see that the cleaning and cross contamination protocols were perhaps being not followed. So we had to tell the supervisor that we were vegetarians and vegans and wanted some gloves changed and prepping area cleaned for our food. Kudos to the staff for accepting that request for us - but not for in between orders. The food came out 50 minutes later. We were tired and ate in. The vegan falafel wrap was OK. The only redeeming thing was the bread. All else we can get elsewhere cheaper, faster and perhaps tastier. The vegan falafel bowl - again disappointing and exactly as above. The quantity was as well disappointing. The quesadilla was good. Halloumi does not stick as mozzarella and also falafel does not go well in a quesadilla. Our bad for having tried this combo. We had great expectations after watching so many shorts for Shelby and we were taken by all the hype. Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian choices and even less vegan options
Absolutely loved the food.We got 4 of the Shelby's and traditional shawarmas with the bowl. Everything tastes great and the variety of options makes me want to go back to try different stuff. The ordering system is also great with 3 tablets makes it easy for customer to order.Food: 5/5
Best Shawarma ever! Best service, food, and atmosphere. Gave us bigger fries then we ordered as well since the first batch was cold. Amazing interior design similar to the ones in the videos. Great staff as well. Would eat once again!Food: 5/5
Finally tried this shawarma place!! I liked the sitting area and the ease of using kiosks for placing the order was something new and fun! I tried their Chicken Biryani! Portion size was good but the mint chutney on it was a lil too much and garlic sauce was very little. I think it should have been reversed at least for my taste. So will take care of that when I order next time. The chicken shawarma was I feel Chicken could use some more flavor and tenderness. Will try a few more times! Definitely recommend 'eating in' coz of the sitting area!
It’s worthy of the 4.5 / 5 - had a great meal - BUT - it was busy with 20 ppl at 10pm on a Sunday. The wait was 15-20 mins and was a bit dirty. My food was great though. Just a for warning - it’s a semi fast style take out with a lot of ingredient LD ready and some made from scratch like the Saj pita and Proteins. What was great - spicy garlic - wow Touchscreen pay kiosks OR the counter person. For $20 and double meat it was a great meal with flavour. It’s a college area, so a lot of younger people. But I’d go back again and look forward to it. I’d plan better to order right away and have something to do while I wait.
Horrible experience.. food was not good at all. It was way too salty.. they were out of chicken when we got there so we gladly waited as the marketing team has done a phenomenal job to attract customers. When we got our food 45 min later there was barely any chicken in the bowls, shawarma wrap and poutine. I must say they are very generous with the salt since that's the only thing you could taste. Also no AC inside in 30+ made it harder to eat inside. Felt really bad for the workers. Sorry Shelby but won't be coming back!
Unfortunately Shelby’s did not live up to the hype. I ordered a traditional wrap, the wrap bread was good and sauce was good but the filling was mostly fries. They were pretty stingy with the chicken. I paid extra for pickles and the whole wrap had 1-2 pickles. The bowl was not that good either. The rice used was a biryani style rice which didn’t really go with the toppings. And again, there was barely any chicken, the bowl was just filled with fries. None of the tables were clean either. We managed to get one table, it was sticky and covered in crumbs. Overall pretty disappointing.
Probably one of the best shawarma places in Mississauga. The wraps are wonderful with some nice garlic sauce and other toppings, staff was friendly enough to offer complimentary churros thank you Taha for your service! And the atmosphere is fitting, real nice and relaxing.Food: 5/5
