YUM! I gotta say this is the best fried chicken joint in richmond right now. Better than LA chicken and im a HUGE fan of LA chicken. Shawn's chicken is quite special, the seasoning is between a traditional "wind sand" chicken and the kind of seasoning you would get on a chinese BBQ skewer.  The end result is a chicken thats ultra crispy skin stays crispy even after transporting it back home and an absolute delight. I only tried the spicy so far and im blown away at how good it is.  Shawn's very generous with their portions and every batch is fried per request so you know its fresh. The wait time is a bit long of course it is, its fresh! but its worth the wait. Only downside is finding parking in the complex is/can be an absolute nightmare. Better to order online ahead and go in to pickup.

I am a fried chicken lover and I've tried a lot of restaurants in Greater Vancouver area but the Chicken from Shawn's is one of the best I've ever had. I’m absolutely mesmerized by the taste of their Chicken especially the spicy ones.  My daughter liked the non spicy option. Thank you guys for opening such an amazing and authentic restaurant from China. Overall I’ll give it 10/10 and would recommend it to everyone

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. If you like spicy food, I definitely recommend trying the spicy option - the chili powder they use is absolutely delicious!

Ordered the 2 piece chicken & fries and 3 piece wings. The chicken was a little greasy and the fries were soggy. I’m thinking the deep fryer oil was not up to temperature. I ordered just after 11:35 am however I’ll go and try again next week in the afternoon. The other reviews said Shawn’s Chicken is very good. However I’ll try again and follow up. I do enjoy fried chicken. When I’m in the Philippines, Jollibee’s very good. However in Vancouver it’s not the same.

Saw this new open deep fried chicken place in empire center. Their chicken is deep fried upon order. Waited around 10-15mins. It's totally worth the time. Chicken is juicy and the skin is crispy. Staff is super friendly. The owner told me they use non frozen chicken.

Highly recommended! Their chicken is very flavourful. The outside coating is thin and crispy. The meat is marinated well and is super tender and juicy. I think they put special Chinese spices or herbs, so it has some special aroma that I don’t find in regular fried chicken. Definitely would go again.
