They began to consider the idea three years ago, and it became a reality in January of 2023. Our restaurant and Chef-Owner are incredible and their outstanding Indian food culture and spice blends consistently delight their customers.Our core team enjoyed tasting the various spices, and we all spent time looking for desi Indian food so that we could enjoy the excellent food. We work in one of the cruise ships docking in Victoria and we were craving for some good Indian food so we asked one of the staffs in the drug store nearby and she recommended Shashwat. Shashwat never disappoint! We've been here every week and we're sad alaska season is done and we need to go cross the pacific ocean to go to Australia. But for sure we will be back next year! Everyone was also nice and friendly! Thank you so much for the good food
When you are hungry, you crave for such taste. Amazing food, great variety, excellent staff, we had to wait a little for our food but I think that was our grumpy tummy which was satisfied with yummy yummy food they served with a smile. Must must try their samosa, it was a star dish for us
Visited Victoria over the long weekend and being vegetarian food is always tough. Especially when your wife is picky and choosy. Looking around for Indian restaurants and came across this small quaint place, Shashwat! The ambience might not be like any other restaurant but the food is mouth watering. It really has been a while we have had authentic Indian Street Food and Chinese Food! Super yummy! But more than the food is their hospitality and politeness. They are a team of super down to earth and adorable people. Including their small child who was helping them clean. Overall an awesome place, thank you Team Shashwat for making our night and serving us such delicious food! Thank you, Keep Smiling, and Growing Always!
This place is a real HOLE IN THE WALL. I rarely leave food reviews but this place was AMAZING!!! We were briefly visiting Victoria and happened to come across this small little place. Being a former resident of Delhi, I hold Indian food to the highest of standards and this place definitely exceeded my expectations. The food is made fresh right before your eyes so you don’t need to worry about it being stale or reheated. We got chole bhature, veggie momos, and chicken tikka with butter naan. The food came piping HOT and everything tasted incredible and authentic. Our server was lovely and extremely accommodating. Real taste of India and Indian hospitality in Victoria. I will 100% come back to try all the other items on the menu every time I return for a visit from now on.
After a long time found a restaurant in Victoria giving a taste of Delhi Chinese flavors. Awesome taste/food and a very nice & friendly staff. Must visit And thanks for the complimentary dessert Food: 5/5
I love Indian food and was excited to try this place. I waited almost 2.5 hours on a week night for delivery of extremely mediocre food. Small portions. Naan tasteless and too chewy. Salad was warm. Chicken pakora was dry and crumbly. Samosa was mostly just thick dough with some potato and peas inside. Raita was watery and tasteless. Only positive was that the Dahl makhani was fairly tasty. Overall very disappointed. Overpriced for what you get. Will not order from here again and do not recommend.
The best authentic Indian cuisine in entire British Columbia!!! The restaurant lady is such amazing & caring, a true example of "atithi devo bhava". She made sure to provide special instructions to prepare authentic indo-chinese cuising typical Mumbai flavor for triple schzewan rice with egg & gravy and chicken choupsey. Loved the food, loved the taste & entire experience was relaxing & delightful!!!!

Delicious Place for Indian Food Lovers. Spicy, Tasty, and Chatpata! It is a new restaurant but the food is amazing. It is inside Victoria Public Market. Closed on Monday and they do only online delivery. Not yet on food delivering apps. Vegetarian options: Yummy and Delicious options for my veggie friends. Must visit.
Thank you so much for your kind service, helping me make an order and choose from such an extensive menu. I had a complete lunch with soup, bread and sauteed vegetables. All the dishes were full of flavour and gourmet made. The medium spice level was exactly how I wanted and the tea tastes great. I will be coming back for moreFood: 5/5
