Shark Cove Suites

Amazing. The suite we had was huge and clean. It was outdated however but that did not bother us whatsoever. The guy that showed us around named Bill was quite the character. Full of energy and just a great funny guy! The value was exceptional

Large suite and reasonably priced. Very outdated although this didn’t bother us. Mattress is the worst I’ve ever slept on and my husband and I did not get ANY sleep at all due to this, up all night. Should also have non smoking rooms as we can smell cigarette smoke. Looked clean although did not smell clean. Also no shampoo or conditioner so couldn’t have a shower. No wifi or tv as well. Hotels were all booked which is why we booked here. Book early to avoid staying here!

It was perfect for 4 adults. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. Lots of room, good location 5 min. from the ferry. Can't beat the price. Laundry just up the road at the convenience store.

Great value and wonderful homey space. After many days on the road it was an excellent respite from camping. It was simple and very clean. Quiet even though the wind was howling outside!

Not a room but a full apartment! Nice and clean. Recommend to anyone who's travelling on or off the island! Mr. Parsons was a great host.

We chose this place to stay based on a previous review on this site. I can't say I agree with the previous assessment. The 'suites' are really old apartments that are now being rented nightly. They are in the process of renovating and upgrading the building and apartments, but it's a work in progress. The setup does have some advantages - the suites are very spacious, and have a full kitchen, living room etc. And the price is very reasonable. All in all, I would consider giving this business a much better rating, however there were two big problems I couldn't get past. First, our 'suite' must have been previously occupied by a heavy smoker, because the odor was almost overwhelming. And the pillowcases and bed linens smelled as though they hadn't been washed in weeks. If you have no other options and can put up with these two issues we actually spread our sleeping bags out over the bed to sleep in, it's a reasonably priced place to stay in Port aux Basques if you need one. But you might want to check your other options first.

Sweet little suite , feels like home. Little kitchen , nice hood .

Clean, spacious, and comfortable. And quiet, unlike my family's experiences at the local hotels. Staff are friendly and courteous. My family and I have stayed here on six of nine trips to the island since 2008. Those are the reasons we keep coming back to Shark Cove.

What an great size place for a really cheap prize. You won't get this deal anywhere else. And really clean. Out of my whole 2 weeks vacation and all the hotels I got. This one takes the cakes.Rooms: 4/5
