Shari's Cafe and Pies

Stopped in for lunch on my journey across America for veterans. They staff was very nice. I ordered the turkey dinner. The dish was awesome but only came with one piece of turkey and the picture showed three. The mashed potatoes were awesome. They said they just give one larger piece. Not really a lot of meat for one person. It was supposed to come with a roll and had to remind the server about it. He then proceeded to grab a roll with his bare hands and throw it in the microwave. Not the cleanest of procedures.

Stopped in for a quick bite while passing through Pendleton. They were severely understaffed. In spite of that, our server was friendly and accommodating. Our food was okay. My steak was good, but the vegetables on the side were cold, to the point they were still partially frozen. My parents thought the food was okay as well. It appeared that only one cook was in the kitchen for the dinner rush. I imagine they probably do pretty well when properly staffed. Having worked in the service industry for 20 years, I've certainly had nights like that with my staff.

Good service by Drew. He was the host, waiter, bussed the table and did everything but cook the dinner. Quiet evening not too busy. Basic fare at Shari's but save room for the pie or another dessert! Our order came quickly and it was well prepared.

The service was friendly and regular. No errors, regular attendance to the table and food to the table fairly quickly. The food was really good, and the restaraunt was clean. Comparable to other Shari's I have been to (primarily in the Willamette Valley)

We went in to buy charms and pie. The staff were friendly. There were out of the charm bracelet. The pies we're yummy.
