Shari's Cafe & Pies

This is a WARNING post for everyone. Do NOT go here. THEY WILL REUSE FOOD FROM ANOTHER PERSONS PLATE IF IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS UNTOUCHED (Pic in comments). Unfortunately for them and myself, they did NOT check my toast close enough last night. When I received my plate, there were 2 bites bitten out of my toast. It wasn't a tear, it wasn't a rip, there were bite marks. I saw it before the waitress left the table so there was NO WAY they could claim I did it myself. I asked to speak to a manager. He came right over and immediately said, "I plated your food myself and I promise I didn't take a bite of your toast," in an accusatory way. Then sat there waiting for my response. I was so dumbfounded that he would accuse me of doing this that I couldn't get any words out to tell him his waitress hadn't even left the table before I found the bites. I had to tell him to give me a new plate of food. He came back completely apologetic and indeed comp'd my meal plus another $20 off my family of 5's tab. But that isn't the point of this. The point is that SOMEONE back in the kitchen (the manager, whom admitted to being the one to plate my food), feels it is okay to reuse other people's leftover food because they're too lazy to spend a minute making fresh toast. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

Love their breakfast plates! Can't resist their pies! So amazing service is always friendly! When they are busy sometimes service is pretty slow but they always get us taken care of. Could use some work on teamwork. Working together to get their guests taking care of a little bit quicker.

We walked in late at night and still got excellent customer service. Our food was good, but our waitress was the best. She has such a fun personality! I'll definitely be back in the near future.

I hade the prime rib Benedict. It was way better than I thought. The little touch of pesto on the top and not too much salt. I replaced the hash browns with mashed and gravy- so comforting. The deep dish apple pie is cinnamon-riffic! If you want pie this is your place. Becka was very attentive and timely. Thanks lady- you got skills!

Update tried to have breakfast today food was served cold and undercooked could not finish we recommend do not eat here This isn't up to the standard they try for. Having tried to enjoy a meal here three times we continue to be served cold meals when we have told our server this all three times nothing was done to correct. Poor service and poor food
