Story

This year we finally did what we had been talking about for years – Mark and Louise (that’s us) bought a vacation home! After weeks of scouring the eastern Ontario Land’ O Lakes region with our very patient real estate agent Lois, we landed on this amazing property on Sharbot Lake that we instantly fell in love with. A beautiful open concept Viceroy nestled on gently sloping land lined with magnificent birch trees and offering perfect swimming lakefront access – this was a no brainer.
We put an offer on the property 3 days after it was listed – too bad for the other cottage hunters who were too slow to spot this gem!
So now we are on a quest to transform this gem of a cottage into the quintessential vacation experience for our renters. That means

My family really loved staying here. What a beautiful view to wake up to! The cottage was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you need. We really enjoyed swimming and all the water equipment. We would definitely visit again.

We definitely enjoyed a very relaxing stay at this welcoming cottage last summer. The lake is lovely, clear and warm. Swimming is easily accessible from the shore or a jump into deeper water from the large dock. The hosts provide kayaks and a paddle board for guests use, which we definitely took advantage of. The cottage itself is very comfortable, well equipped and clean. There is also a screened in porch which we really liked, perfect for reading or watching the sunset. We hope to return this coming summer and would not hesitate to recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property on Sharbot Lake. The cottage was spacious, immaculately clean, and SO WELL equipped - both inside and out. The swimming was excellent (you could jump into deep water off the dock or ease in more gradually at a sandy entry point) and there were plenty of water toys to choose from (2 kayaks, a paddle board, a canoe and a peddle boat). The cottage has several decks (including one right down by the water, which was our personal favourite), a great fire pit area, and a screened-in porch with an excellent view of the lake. Inside, the cottage had everything we needed - a wide selection of pots and pans, mixing bowls and serving dishes; and many complimentary items, including toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, dish soap, bottled water, coffee filters, ketchup, mustard, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, spices, and even a complimentary bottle of wine! If you're looking for a cottage to rent on Sharbot Lake, you won't find a better property. I don't hesitate to recommend it, and would happily return again.

My family and I had an amazing week at the cottage this summer. I highly recommend it for a family vacation. What we liked most: - Caring and courteous owners - Cottage is well cared and has everything you'll need. Also all the plates, appliances, etc are in great condition. - Great dock for swimming with a floating dock to swim out to. We spent a lot of time here :-) - Lots of boating options (canoe, kayak, paddleboard, peddle boat, kids kayak - this one was popular with us) - Sharbot lake itself is very nice, not to big, not to small. Great for paddle boarding. - Close to a good grocery store (Mike & Dean's) - Cottage has wifi and good cell reception

Great place to stay the location and accommodations are excellent. There is great Kayaking and Canoeing as this cottage even comes with them included. Marvellous view from the screen porch or dining room window a must when in this region.
