We unfortunately didn’t have the best experience here. My sister and I live a ways away from one another and decided to meet with our kids in the middle being Airdrie. We called to book 2 lanes for an hour. The lady on the phone was nice and we were able to get the booking. We arrived 15 minutes early for our booking, got our shoes and waited for our start time. They were very busy and we ended up having to wait quite a while after our booking time to start. This was fine too, we understand busy. The part that shocked me was that our screens still turned off at the original end time. I went to inform the staff that we were unable to bowl for our full hour as our screens had stopped on us. In which we got a response from an employee that we “showed up late so that’s the time we got”. I corrected him and told him we were actually early and they left us to wait as they had birthday parties finishing. Another employee stepped in and said we would only be charged for the time we bowled but they wouldn’t give us our hour because they were “too busy”. I left feeling super frustrated. We BOOKED an hour, we both travelled over 40 mins different ways with 6 kids to bowl and happily support this business. We should have been given our full booked hour as it was not our fault we had to wait to start. Had they mentioned before they started our time that we wouldn’t have the option for a full hour anymore because they were too busy, we would have happily left and found something else to do. Also a heads up. If you’re over 6 you cannot bowl with gutter stoppers up. Obviously a policy and this didn’t affect my scoring but our 8 year olds would have loved to have them up and it was a firm no.nnThe environment was meh and overall have just had better experiences for the price we paid. I wouldn’t go back.
This was our first visit to airdrie. Small bowling balls were not expected but still had fun. Nachos and service were great.
This was once a 5 star review. Unfortunately, I don't think I was left with any alternative but to update it. After going Shamrock to play every so often for years, having a kids birthday party there, eating there in the past, my wife decided to take our youngest son and a couple of his friends to have some fun bowling. The plan included ordering pizza dinner for the 7 of us that were there. Once inside, after renting shoes and getting the kids to start playing, we asked to order food. We were only then informed that the kitchen was closed for renovations. Fair enough, it happens. As it was dinner time, I asked the staff if they were alright with us ordering a pizza from next door. We were told in no uncertain terms they would not permit outside food in, but they would not or could not serve us. I asked a second time as the kids were hungry. They then stated that they had asked the boss, and apparently the boss said that we were not permitted to order food for the kids, even though they would/could not prepare and serve us. Poor service for a small town business. So unfortunate!
Used to go here for every single birthday party as a child I feel like most airdronian kids did. Went here recently as an adult and it's just as good. Has such a strange smell but its very nostalgic. Went during 'glow bowling' for an extra $5 and it was alright.
The place was certainly nice enough. The cost really shocked me, however. $63.00 for my 10 yr old grandson and myself for one hour. I actually had to ask the gal at the til to repeat it a couple times as I thought I was hearing it wrong. Ive been bowling a couple times elsewhere this summer and it cost less than half that much for me and my other grandson. Also my grandson very inexperienced would have very much liked to have had the bumpers up, but apparently there's an age limit of 6 and under for that, which made no sense to me.
