Seung-ni Traverse City Martial Arts & Kickboxing Academy

Master Kevin has established a culture of excellence at Seung-ni, and it shows from the top down. The kickboxing classes are fun, varied, and a great workout, but no need to feel intimidated: the instructors are encouraging and hands-on helpful, and you go at your own pace. Taekwondo classes are professional and focused, but again - the instructors balance that with fun and varied details.One of my favorite things is the regularly-scheduled Women's Self-Defense class, where we learn ways to recognize dangerous situations, simple ways we might avoid them, and how to defend ourselves should it become necessary. It, too, is a hands-on, practical class so we get to practice under close supervision. Give one or more of the above a try - you won't get bored or feel out of place; you will get in shape, learn practical skills, and meet a lot of great people in a positive, inviting atmosphere.

This place is amazing! After highschool, and leaving wrestling, I wanted to continue pursuing a grappling sport. Thanks to Master Kevin and all his staff for being so welcoming, I am now apart of their BJJ classes!

Highly Recommend! I had never Kickboxed before, ever. Everyone is super friendly, inviting and helpful with any questions. I'm having a blast and have signed up for the unlimited classes for a year, and don't see myself stopping there. It's a great workout but also learning valuable things like self defense and overall self awareness and confidence. Definitely a great and a much needed #StressReliever

The instructor, Jen, was awesome and let me take things at my own pace, being a newbie. Gyms are super clean and staff are all super friendly!
