If you want to go to a place where you'll most likely not have the correct paperwork or they can't provide that service, or they can't do that well Collingwood Service Ontario is the place for you. They barely know anything and they offer the bare minimum of services. What do I mean? Well you have to go on certain days to get your licence changed, because they bring those people in from Barrie. You can't get them to witness a sworn statement if you are gifting a vehicle, because none of them bothered to get the certificate. This is a privately owned franchise service now and it sucks. I can't wait for this service to just become an online access only. It's only a matter of time before this archaic way of doing things dies. I gladly drove to Barrie to get my vehicle permit just because this place sucks the very soul out of you.

As everyone knows, the service here is terrible, with employees who couldn't care less about their clientele - and why would they, they have no reason to, as any complaint about Service Ontario branches go nowhere, and their union prevents any of them from being reprimanded or let go. Their rules are archaic and the people enforcing them lack any common sense in figuring out the point of the questions they ask. It's pathetic. They're leaving a horrible impression of unions and the public sector on people, and it's too bad because they're feeding into the very stupidity that will eventually have their union jobs destroyed in place of private sector positions where there are actually consequences for poor performance.

On every occasion I have gone into this location for licensing or sticker replacement etc I have been pleasantly surprised at how fast the line moves and the people at the counter have always been very kind. I think a lot of the people leaving negative comments would have a far kinder review if they knew what these offices are like in the big city. Trust me, this one is a pleasure

*New edit I would like to give a better review. But coming to the point I try to avoid going to the Collingwood DMV. It needs to be expanded. As we have vast amount of Car Dealerships , & more to come so the lines expand out the door. Even on a normal day. I've called & have been let to ring , sent to voicemail after calling again ten minutes later . Than call outside to watch if was really happening & watched a lady not even bother to take my call & hit the voicemail button. But it takes time & things are dated & the website needs a lot of work. I don't have words.

Horrible!!! No customer service. Woman was rude. Walked put upset with no help what so ever. Will go to Stayner office from now on
