I recently visited the ServiceOntario on Centennial Parkway N, and while the staff are doing their best, the overall experience could be much better. Parking in the front is usually packed and frustrating, but there’s more space at the back, so I’d recommend parking there to save yourself the hassle. The place is extremely busy, and the waiting system feels a bit chaotic. It looks like some people are passing their numbers to others, which makes the process unfair for those patiently waiting. A better-managed queue would help a lot. The whole setup needs improvement—a stricter number system, better signage, and possibly more staff to guide people would make a huge difference. An appointment-based system or improved online check-in would also help reduce congestion. If you’re coming here, be prepared for a long wait and a crowded space. That said, parking in the back can make things a bit easier. With better management, this location could run much more smoothly.
I visited here to apply for my health card . Staff was good specially the lady named Angela if i heard it right. She was very helpful and answered my all queries with a smile on her face . Keep up the good Work.
This weekend, my wife and I visited this location to renew her Ontario health card. Since my wife does not have a driver’s license, we brought her passport along with an online bank statement as proof of address. However, the staff insisted on a paper-mailed copy of the statement.nnI explained that all our banking is paperless and that we do not receive statements by mail. I also showed an RRSP monthly bank statement that clearly had my wife’s name and address on it, but that was rejected as well. To comply, I went to our bank and obtained a printed copy of my wife’s chequing account statement with an official bank stamp. Even that was refused without a clear explanation.nnIn total, more than three hours were wasted, and the issue was never resolved at this branch. The staff were unhelpful and came across as rude, making it feel as though they were deliberately avoiding processing our request.nnImmediately afterward, we went to another ServiceOntario location, where the same renewal was completed within five minutes using the same documents.nnBased on this experience, I do not recommend this branch. The inconsistency, lack of flexibility, and poor customer service were extremely disappointing.
If I could give less than a star I would. Waited over an hour to not be seen. Past my lunch and they said their washroom wasn’t working so I had to go. The two people at the counter had the same couple people there the whole time and they were even complaining what the hold up was . Barely anyone he even waiting, others left as well. I think people are avoiding this location all together! Coworkers said they’ve gone to the Rymal location without an issue and no crazy wait for the same thing I was there for . Two thumbs down
Very bad working conditions at this location. Feel really bad for employees working here. Its was a really hot day, the Central AC was not working, they had a portable AC but it didn’t help. Both employees & customers feeling suffocating inside. Huge line ups and the Ticketing machine is broken from 4 months ago, when I was last time here. Long wait times & the waiting area has poor hygiene & no cleanliness. Cant believe it’s a Government office with such bad conditions. Please follow your own Workplace laws/rules on maintaining a good working conditions. First practice what you preach. Hope this message reaches to the right person & they do something to improve the work environment here. Feeling bad for employees, I’m out of here.
