After struggling to get an appointment for my passport renewal in Richmond, I decided to book in Penticton during my trip to the Okanagan. To my surprise plenty of appointments were available, and I could've easily walked in. The lady who helped me was very friendly, and helpful, and restored my faith in passport renewals. Will definitely try to make a return trip in 10 years!

Was directed to renew passport here via passport website. After making appointment was given the wrong information from the teller regarding renewal timeline. It's 15 years from the date issued on previous passport, not 15 years after expiration. I questioned her on that and she clicked around on computer and verified the wrong info. Good thing I doubled checked before going to kelowna office. More training required.

Service Canada in Penticton is great! Didn’t have to book an appointment but came right before they opened. The security guard asked if anyone had an appointment and they let them in first, which makes sense. Thankfully it wasn’t busy so we only waited about 5 mins. Once they let us in, we were called up as soon as the Rep, by the name of Charlene, had noticed us. Charlene was great, very friendly, polite and made sure she double check some info with her manager. Please keep her around! It was the smoothest process I’ve had yet with SC. Highly recommend coming here either with an appointment or as soon as the open!

They did my Birth certificate and fishing license there but I had to go to Kelowna for my Passport

Applied for Service BC Card in Jan/22....& waited for weeks. When I inquired in Feb/22 was told info wasn't sent. Went back to Service BC & tried again mid Feb/22, waited again & till no card. When inquired at office they claimed ignorance....tried again. Went back to Service BC in April/22 as still no card The 4th time at Service BC I finally got some real help from an employee that actually made a call & checked on computer.. Apparently the same person I dealt with 2x previous entered my info incorrectly.....??? Thanx government employee I finally recieved my BC Services Card in May/ 22. * Note: This card was necessary to get my student loan as I was a full-time student started Dec/ 22 . I'm 22yrs old & don't live at home.Thank god for my family....who helped support me for 5 months while the Canadian Government finally got it together. Does being born a Canadian Citizen mean anything ?
