I had a super bad experience from my road test here..if there was a zero, i will mark it like that! it was the same lady i had two attempts and she failed me.. She started to yelled at me when i was doing my road test! Super rude lady@ elaine!Do you know how expensive to pay twice of 35 dollars?
I'll be the fourth person in 7 months to weigh in on the black haired, lady, road test examiner at this location. Today she failed me on my first attempt at a class 4 license. She gave me 60 demerits when the passing grade for class 4 is 45 or less. Nearly every single demerit was a boldface lie! DO NOT TAKE YOUR TEST WITH THE BLACK HAIRED LADY!! If you get her, leave! She also failed the driver before me. Other reviews on here establish a clear trend. Anyone else who has been a victim of this lady, please follow the formal complaint process. I started a complaint at the ICBC office. In order to prepare for my road test I took a 2 hour driving course in Kelowna where I live. After that I booked my road test and I had 3 weeks to practice what I had learned. The day before my road test I traveled to Penticton from Kelowna. Penticton was the earliest availability. I spent 3 hours the day before my test practicing in Penticton. My wife scrupulously monitored my driving, she watched that I did all the items on the list properly and we practiced until I was nearly 100% flawless. The following morning we practiced again for 1 hour prior to the test. In addition to all this practice, I have been driving for 16 years, I have not been in an accident in 15 years, nor received a single traffic infraction in over a decade. I was ready, and I am objectively certain I passed the test, except that the black haired lady made up a bunch of lies to fail me. She said I did not scan 2 intersections, LIE! I was taught to scan all intersections and haven't missed a single intersection scanning in my last 100,000. She said I did not use my mirrors, this is the biggest and most dangerous lie of all!! Again I have been practicing my mirror checks for weeks, and all through out the test I was using all of my mirrors constantly, excessively if anything. Not a single turn, not a single braking, not a single intersection, not a single reversing went by where I failed to check all the correct mirrors and windows. I checked obviously and exaggerated my head motion so she couldn't miss it. If I did any more checks, and was any more obvious about it, it would have been objectively DANGEROUS! She said I took a turn wide, I'm not sure if this was a lie or if she simply does not know how to drive. I took all my turns such that I did not cross any solid white or yellow lines and such that I exited and entered my lanes accordingly. My turns were all correct. She said I stopped unnecessarily, what!? I stopped at red lights, stop signs, for pedestrians, to go into reverse, when approaching a sidewalk from an alley etc. This is the dumbest and easiest to prove lie of all. The list of lies goes on until I received 60 demerits. Honestly I probably could have stomached about 20 demerits max. When I parked at the end I was 99.9% certain I passed, and Im not a very confident person when it cones to these things. I was stunned when she said I failed. Truly stunned. Some points could have been argued legitimate, but the majority were complete fabrications, aka lies. I desperately needed to pass this test for financial reasons and thus I prepared vigorously. I could not afford to fail and I made certain I wouldn't. I traveled to Penticton from Kelowna and stayed in a hotel and she knew that. She is just a bad person with an agenda that of her own, not the one given to her by the Province.
Road test is actually a scam. Notified the lady I had a terrible experience with my past instructor so was already nervous, and have immense test anxiety. Performed everything correctly and failed me due to driving close to parked cars on unmarked roads? She failed me because I didn’t want to drive in the middle of the road/share it with oncoming traffic. It was my third test and now penalized for 2 months. Respectfully, you’re scum
Rude but qualified driving instructor. Extremely backed up waiting lists. Would not recommend. Best find another place to do a test.
I was helped my Megan yesterday at the very end of the day. She was so cheerful and helpful that I want to send out a big shout out to Megan for being so wonderful.
Much nicer than the Kelowna one. Better service, seating area in the inside, fast attention. No bathroon thou
I went to SBC for my RedSeal Carpentry exam. The lady at the help desk told me I needed to bring my own code book, when I told her that I didn’t and it should have arrived with my exam question sheet she explicitly told they didn’t have the code book, that I should have brought my own and that I would have to reschedule my exam?? Feeling stupid, I went to the local library and to the Work BC office to see if I could source a code book but with no luck I rang ITA the examining body to tell them what had happened. ITA told me they had sent the code and it was 100% NOT up to me to bring my own. Angry and annoyed I went to back to Service BC and told them what had happened, another lady appeared 2 minutes later with all the paperwork and code book in her hand? This new person was polite and apologetic but by this stage I was so angry and annoyed as there was no way the first person I spoke to checked what was there and bare faced lied to me when she said that they didn’t have the code book That was sent. They also tried to schedule my exam time for 3 hours instead of 5 hours and then a guy came in at 4 hours and told me I had 5 minutes left? A total mess of a day that delayed me by and hour and half and made me miss a later appointment.
The woman who does the drivers license exam is a complete hag! Very unprofessional! Calling my brother “dude” when he made a mistake and rudely tellling him to just give up. Lady if I see you in public I will definitely be giving you lesson on how to treat people. Believe it.
I have never had a problem with their services, or the very helpful workers. I have done everything from replacing my I.D. to staking a gold claim, and it all went smooth. Keep up the good work!
Always pleasant, polite and helpful. Wait times are often long so be prepared.
