Food was not bad but was nothing above average. More importantly I did not get much of a warm fuzzy from the staff. I expected more as the dining room was festive. With prices high everywhere right now there are certainly better Mexican restaurants within walking distance that have a proven track record of high quality and better experience.
Wife and I got the fish tacos and the ginger tea. The tea was very refreshing, chips were thicker than the ones I get in Texas. Was not spectacular but was not bad either.
Sergio's has been one of my favorite spots in Geneva for 10+ years! If your looking to go my advice is the pineapple bacon/guac appetizer it's delicious. Dish pictured which I've had many times is the shrimp avacado tostada's. Their margaritas are excellent as well, including the bull dog with the upside down baby coronarita. If checking them out for the first time go towards the evening and check out 1910 it's an added bar from the same owners above the restaurant. Atmosphere is excellent cool place to get a few drinks.
Not super impressed with this place. 2 of our drinks seemed watered down? The Bulldog margarita and the ciaparinha seemed slightly watered down? The carnitas tacos we ordered also were a little soggy. I've had better. Staff was nice and the patio was great. Will give them another try someday.
Good service, food came out FAST, margarita and salsa were some of the best I've had in the area and the enchiladas and soft tacos were delicious. Prices were reasonable. We plan to return.
Unless you're ok paying >$15 for a Margherita that doesn't seem to have a drop of tequila, I don't recommend paying for the overpriced juice. I had the Cucumber Margherita and my husband had the Cadillac but neither could've had more than a tiny drop of tequila. Honestly, I don't think mine had any. Also, the margs were served in a super cheap water glass. My tacos weren't bad though. Overall, the service was poor and my mother-in-law never got her food. The rest of us waited a while to get silverware after our food was served. The restaurant staff didn't seem to care whatsoever about the missing food.
Absolutely delicious. The children's menu burritos are the perfect size. The Horchata is perfect. Drove 45 minutes just to eat here. Worth every mile!
Fun atmosphere the outdoor patio was nice. They have delicious drinks but my enchiladas were subpar.
Yeah the food was good but our server Maurice had a great attitude and very attentive. We appreciated the experience and look forward to coming back. The entire crew looked like they really enjoy working at Sergio’s. Food was a thumbs up
Civiche was $20 for a tiny tiny portion smaller than my hand. Food was great but I would have spent less at St Charles place.Food: 5/5
