First visit to this store in Bayshore mall and I was pleasantly surprised. Despite how busy the store was, within a few minutes, I was approached by a kind and knowledgeable staff member named Jenny. She went through my shopping list with me and listened to my needs/concerns. I also shared some brands I wanted to try out and a specific eye shadow look I was hoping to achieve. Jenny pin pointed where each product was in the store, then guided me there. She quickly located the products I wanted and colour tested them to find the correct shades. She also ensured I was a rewards member so I could take advantage of the sales. My favourite part of this whole experience was that it felt like shopping with a friend - one who is extremely well educated in the realm of makeup. I never felt rushed or that I was being too picky. I can’t wait to try out these products for a special night out and I’ll certainly be back to the store to re-purchase my favourites. Thank you Jenny!
Was my 1st time ever at Sephora. Huge rush due to holiday shopping spree but the girls at the store are just amazing. They help you choose the most suitable item as per your requirement and they don't push you to buy unnecessarily. Great place for quality skincare products.
So…. I have been a loyal customer of Sephora for 20 ish years. Always had excellent service. But I was also thin and always done up to go shopping. The first time I come in after just having a baby; with no makeup on and in leggings and a hoodie- every single customer service rep passed me over when I asked for help…. Just to go on and assist the younger and more “put together” customers that were all dolled up. Completely ignored me without my makeup and hair done. Too bad. Your loss. The girl in front of me even commented that unless she is “done up”, she doesn’t get helped. UNREAL!! That’s horrible. I’d leave ZERO stars if I could.
Sure the shelves are always stocked but everytime I have walked into this location, I feel out of place. The staff never approach me, and I always feel like a burden when asking for help. The aisles are small, and with the crowds, it's nearly impossible to shop
A couple of days ago I bought a few skin care products so when I received my home I found the seller or cashier missed one of my purchase and didn’t put it in my bag I went to the store so they told me: we have to check the camera and then we let you know . After a day , they called me and said sorry you are right the cashier didn’t put it in your bag and come again for getting your foundation powder. Today I went for getting my missing purchase and for changeing the other cream which they gave me wrong . The manager said sorry sometimes it happens and they changed the wrong cream for me. They put the cream I wanted into the bag . But now when I wanted to open and use it I found and sew it is used and awful. I’m really angry and sad . I’m almost far from the store in bayshor shopping center and I have to go about 40 km and return 40 km each time.I am really complaining to them because they were irresponsible because I went back and forth several times to buy a cream.
I called ahead to see if they had a pallet in stock, Brittany said they had one left and that she would put it at the cash while I checked out online for in-store pickup. Clearly someone working wanted it. It's not customers first.
I went in with my friends and we were being followed by employees and a security guards, we had no bad intentions while walking in there. We felt really uncomfortable and felt the need to leave the store immediately. While walking out the door watcher had pointed and said “you bye!” To one of my friends. I’m extremely disappointed and uncomfortable with the experience me and my friends had at sephora. Will not be returning this this location!
My husband and i started our new job doing deliveries for instacart and it was my first time walking into Sephora and we were both greeted by an employee right away and she helped us out so so much we truly appreciated her for her help and kindness.
Honestly, I’m exhausted. I understand there are horrible people out there that steal at Sephora, but that’s not me. Whenever I go to Sephora, if I’m not dressed up, and wearing makeup, I’m always uncomfortable, I am made to feel like I’m going to steal or something. Today I went in sweats with my hair up and no makeup and it was a horrible experience. I don’t need to be asked if I need help 10 times with suspicious looks. Why can’t I look and take my time? I bought $300 worth of stuff and I am Rouge not that it matters. Whenever I go in wearing makeup they treat me so differently and compliment me asking me if I did my makeup myself and blah blah. I wish I could have taken a photo of the lady that seemed to be following me around, and go back another day wearing make up and show her I’m the same person. Not that anyone will miss me or care, but I’m never going back there. Too bad Ottawa is so small I can only go to Bayshore or Rideau. I don’t know if it’s because of the colour of my skin or what, but it’s honestly EXHAUSTING! Like, can’t Sephora with their billions of dollars magnetize the products or something. I’m not the only one who experiences this. I am fed up. It’s honestly discriminatory. I can’t believe I need to look like I’m made of money and wear makeup to be treated well or to be left alone. People don’t like being asked if they need help every other second. Please, just be around without looking like at me like an eagle so that I can ask for help instead.
The staff I encountered today had great product knowledge. They were also quite friendly although they knew nothing about IFRA in Switzerland since countless classic fragrances were ruined by imposing restrictions on such ingredients as oak moss, followed by endless synthetic reformulations. The most potent fragrance? Christian Dior's Poison from 1985 which was s*x in a bottle! In summary, a very nice environment. The only serious impediment surrounding Bayshore is this convoluted LRT mess!
