Most places in Richmond are more pricey than their counterparts in other cities, and Seorae is no different. But what really matters is the food, which passes the eye test here but unfortunately falls short... not bad, not great, just good, but considering the cost, not a must try by any means. You get all the banchan dishes, and there’s a cool groove beside the grill that you can fill with egg or cheese, but the quality of meats just didn’t impress. Also, I’m an average sized Poo, but much like other reviews, the tables are an awkward height and I found myself standing many times to grill.

you’ll be enjoying the hype and the LOUD af music, but didn’t enjoy the meat. very dry and pan was burnt. didn’t understand why there were egg and corn on the side. staff was nice and stuff but i wouldn’t recommend this place. also, we got their platter and only 2 choices: only pork or only beef! very sickening at the end. not worth the time and money, very expensive for poor quality meet. would not recommend

Big chain Korean BBQ joint with lots of locations worldwide. The service is great here, however the prices are on the higher side . They have lots or options and the each table has a giant fan above . The meat and quality of food is great however reflected by the prices as well. Once again the service was superb, they would come around changing our grills multiple times throughout the hour. Definitely worth a try.

It's a new place. It's clean and new, but I reckon the design of the tables. The two of us were seated at a 4 person table but it's really just for two as the grill takes up half the table. The service, I don't really know how to comment. It is good that there's service. The service was so full that they just kept grilling our meat and we didn't really had the chance to eat or chat privately. It felt like they wanted us to finish quickly, but it didn't make sense cause there wasn't a line up. The beef was better than the pork for sure. I still can't believe they had no cheese. It was super disappointing and quite overpriced for the portion. I don't think I'll return.

Food quality is really good. We love the quiet Richmond location which is close to the River and Oval. However, the seating is not as comfort as we expected. The table is so small and the "chair" is not really a chair. The service need to be improved as all waitresses are seems very busy and ignored you . And one last thing, it is really smoky inside the restaurant when it is full house.

After reading all the reviews before coming to this restaurant. Wasn't expecting good service but hopefully the good food will make up for it. Damn I was wrong!!! Service was actually not bad but the food SUCKS! This is the worst Korean BBQ I've had in Richmond. You pick ANY i mean literally ANY Korean restaurant in Richmond would taste better than this. Reason: for that price I would expect quality meat. Both pork and beef dishes has absolutely no taste to it and they are tough and chewy. Its like they buy the cheapest quality meat available similar to the low end All-you-can-eat hot pot places. Taste of food is 2-3/10 at best. You are better off getting your own quality beef at H mart or Nikuya and buy one of those korean bulgogi/Galbi sauce to marinate and cook yourself at home. Get your sh!t together franchisee!! It is unacceptable!!!

Waited months for this Korean BBQ chain to open. I am going to review this restaurant based on the quality of their food and meats. It's actually very good and delicious. Very fresh cuts with many varieties for different textures and flavours. Accompanying the meal are many dipping sauces, sesame seed oil, soy etc. that makes your meat taste even more awesome. It's pretty authentic or as close as you can get without flying to Seoul. I would say for the quality of meats its decent value. This is not those all you can eat or cheap Korean BBQ. Their meat is pretty good quality. If you're looking for value, this is not the place for you. Now here is some advice for people new to this restaurant or Korean BBQ. Avoid ordering only a la carte meat. It is very expensive and portions are relatively small. To get your best value and be full, I recommend ordering a meat set usually beef set and adding a few side meats like pork belly and beef skirt. Complete your meal with carbs like cold noodles, jap chae and seafood pancake or even rice. Second advice... Always ask to refill your banchan kim chi, salad, pickles etc., corn and steamed egg. It is free! Get your money's worth people! Now being a new Korean BBQ they are working out some kinks with service some people gave really bad reviews for service but I am more understanding and a little disorganized. We did have a Korean server but looks like they also hired a lot of Chinese staffs being in Richmond and all. The other thing is the ventilation is not great. You'll end up smelling like oil and grease, so don't wear fancy clothes to this restaurant. This is a first come first serve establishment. So if you don't want to wait go early or don't complain. Overall a pretty good dining experience.

Decent BBQ but side dishes are of poor quality. Service is bad and so is the ventilation. The service staff and hostess have a lot of attitude. The doors were open but it was still stuffy inside. This is a big chain from Korea but they only have 1 Korean working here. All good reasons why this place is only half full at dinner time. I wouldn't recommend this place with the plethora of Korean restaurants available in Richmond and I certainly won't be back.

I have to say, this is the best korean bbq I've ever had in Canada. The meat was so flavourable and tender. Their seafood pancake was amazing. Unfortunately, all this came with a hefty price tag...and rice wasnt included. I also wasnt too fond of their choices in side dishes. The place also had pretty poor ventilation. It was quite smokey. The service was decent. If it was cheaper, I would definitely come back more often. Unfortunately, might have to save this for a rare treat.

Pretty good Korean BBQ.. The service is lacking though. They did not bring all the items we ordered, then when we asked for them, there double charged us.. The manager seems to be the only one on the ball.
