"GOOD COFFEE & MORESENS is not just another café.SENS is an experience for the senses. There is so much we can share over a cup of coffee.SENS café finds its roots in France where Pierre and Isabelle previously owned and managed Le Barista Café, Annecy. A place bringing people together whatever their culture, age or background. In 2020, they pushed boundaries further by bringing their French touch to Kingston, with the same passion for sharing.SENS Café not only brings specialty coffee to your neighborhood, but also more variety of locally hand-made food. This is what makes SENS."

Step into Sens Cafe and be prepared for a delightful experience that will awaken your senses. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. If you're a coffee lover in search of an authentic cafe, Sens Cafe is the perfect destination. The smooth cappuccino, made with oat milk and a hint of cinnamon, is a treat you won't want to miss. Pair it with their freshly baked gluten-free almond cake, and you're in for a divine indulgence. But what truly sets Sens Cafe apart is meeting Pierre, an unparalleled coffee enthusiast and a true coffeeologist. Engaging in conversation with him is akin to learning from a professor of coffee. His passion and knowledge about the art of coffee brewing and all things coffee shines through. Next time you're in Kingston, take the time to drop by Sens Cafe, savor a cup of their delicious coffee, and enjoy a delightful treat. It's an experience that's sure to leave you with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart. Mary and Tony
This coffee shop is purely serving the best coffee in Ontario! This is the French touch: attention to details from A to Z, serving you a PERFECT coffee with flavours you’ll find nowhere else! Their pastries are also tasty. And Pierre and his wife are amazing people! Kingston would be closer to Toronto, we would visit more often!
SENS Cafe is a very short walk from the downtown Kingston waterfront. There is a nice selection of V60/Chemex coffee in addition to milk-based and plant milk-based for vegans coffee and snacks. If you’re visiting from Toronto you will immediately notice the significantly lower prices $4-ish for V60 here compared with $8 - $9 in Toronto. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is definitely a place to visit while you’re in town!
This is my favourite café in the city so far! They have the most delicious espresso from Quietly coffee in their mochas. I have bought 2 bags of to have at home. I always recommend Sens to my friends and bring my family when they visit, and they've loved it too! The latte art is beautiful and its a great place to sit and work. The staff is so warm and welcoming every time I come in and they also have a great vegan oat/coconut milk substitute.
Stopped here on a rainy Friday afternoon and discovered delicious coffee and tasty treats blueberry "donut". The space was well thought out, bright, yet cosy and inviting. It was very clean. There is a long but good view of the water. We happened to meet the gracious owner, who hails from France. A very nice place to stop.Food: 5/5
Had to check out this cafe as it just opened near me… adds to the large repertoire of cafes in the Kingston downtown core Very pleasant experience - the staff are happy to be there and create a warm cafe environment. The decor is simple but elegant. Coffee is delicious. Their sweets are homemade and are very delicious. The praline eclair has taken my taste buds hostage Good place to spend some time studying, doing work, or catching up with some friends Can’t wait to go back!
Only reason rated 2 stars is no cream for drip coffee. Please add half & half to your add in option for coffee. Most cream drinkers are not ok with whole milk. Especially for that first cup in the morning. Otherwise, atmosphere is wonderful and staff is great. NEED CREAM!Food: 2/5
Such a lovely place. Proximate. Wonderful folks behind the counter. So very civilized. Great baked items and they have some good choices of tea that are served in a pot if you’re staying in. Classical and minimal decor. Quiet with smooth music. Sun soaked. Great to meet at or work out of, but more meet at.
This place is adorable and great to study in! The staff are so friendly and are very knowledgeable. I have to recommend the scones!Food: 5/5
So close to a 5/5. Like super close. I'd say it is a 4.95/5. The reason I'm not going all the way with 5/5 is their incredibly slow internet. 1.6mbps download and 5mbps upload. It'd be faster to connect my cell phone to my laptop. Now I get it. Some coffee shops intentionally do this so they can say they offer wifi but don't want it fast so people stick around all day. I'm just not...nah. If I have to do any photo or video uploading, this can't be the cafe I go to. Now for just straight forward text searching on the internet or text work, this is a good spot for that. So that's internet speeds aside. Food - Fantastic. Cookie was a bit too salty, but still delicious. Cappuccino was perfection. Service - 10/5. Customer service is super friendly, helpful and always has a smile. Not to mention if you are French speaking, they very much support that at this cafe. Atmosphere - Perfection. The music is playing BUT, and this is a huge thing for me, it's quiet. We can hear each other while we talk and the music is deep enough in the background not to cause a distraction. The place is very clean and well laid out. The utilization of the space is excellent. There's enough tables and chairs for its size without jamming more in the area, and there is still open space for people who want to come in and quickly get their coffee. Conclusion: Really close to the most perfect coffee shop I've ever been in. I even restarted my mac laptop to confirm the internet was as slow as it was 'cause I felt bad not giving it a 5/5 rating. Sadly...it is that slow. However, if you don't need fast internet, this is a perfect place to go to in Kingston. You will not be disappointed.
