Here’s a summary of our activities at Selkirk Provincial Park:nn- Enjoyed camping at well-maintained sites suitable for tents and RVs, offering both serviced and unserviced options.n- Explored excellent fishing spots along the river, catching a variety of fish species.n- Relaxed at numerous picnic areas equipped with tables and shelters.n- Experienced wildlife viewing opportunities, spotting deer, birds, and other animals.n- Enjoyed biking through scenic trails, perfect for outdoor exercise and exploring the park’s natural beauty.
This is a very beautiful park. There is a skate park, a really nice one. Fishing opportunities, fabulous wading pool, museum close by. It's a great place for a run
The Marine museum is where we went right beside the Selkirk park entrance. If you want to walk through and see local history in real life, then this is a great experience. You can get up close and see everything. Hands on and can touch some items like steering wheels,old boat engines without props, real diving suits reference Men of Honor, and so much more!nnThe gift shop is small but has well thought out souvenirs, something for everyone.nnWe didn't do the other half of the ships as my older child was ready to go. Perhaps next time we will get to see the rest.nn*Side note, not physically handicapped accessible. *nnSomething I'd like to share because I didn't know until we got there. The ticket office is inside the first ship
We used the boat launch. Next time we will visit the marine museum
It's a nice park! The day I went was rather windy but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Washrooms are spread out somewhat far apart.
