We recently discovered this hidden gem and it didn't disappoint! We had heard that they were a gluten free/gluten friendly restaurant but were very very pleased to discover that they were entirely gluten free. My husband and I were floored as having food allergies, there have been very limited restaurants we could enjoy. Everything we had was delicious, service was a bit slow as it was mid week during dinner but other than that the server we had was great. Super friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. We are definitely looking forward to returning in the future! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free fare!
I can’t recommend Selia highly enough. It has become my regular haunt and for good reason. The experience is always top-notch, largely due to the dedicated staff who go above and beyond to ensure each visit is memorable. The standout duo for me has to be Kayla and Eric. Their passion for service and attention to detail make every visit a delight. Kayla, with her unparalleled knack for blending the freshest ingredients into the most luscious smoothies, has turned these simple drinks into an irresistible part of my day. Equally impressive is Eric, whose knack for service never fails to make me feel welcomed and valued. His approach strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine warmth, making each visit feel like a homecoming. On the culinary front, Selia’s menu is brimming with delightful choices, but it’s their Selia Burger that has captivated my palate. The balance of flavors, the succulence of the meat, and the perfect accompaniments combine into a burger experience unlike any other. Every trip to Selia feels like a celebration of great service, fabulous food, and a wonderful atmosphere. This five-star gem is a must-visit - trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Dietary restrictions: Serves an 100% Gluten free menu!
Fabulous food and friendly staff but some of the decor wfelt a bit odd. The Calamari, Onion Rings, Fish and Chips, Brussel Sprouts, and Ceasar Salad were all excellent. The calamari were beautifully tender with just the right amount of batter and a zesty taziki to dip it in. The onion rings had a crispy batter completely different and with a great crunch. The Brussel sprouts had a great carmalization to them but the aioli had too much kick for our youngest. Not a crumb was left behind on any of our dishes. The kids also were spoiled with a Shirley Temple float and root beer float. We then sampled each dessert not appearing in our photos and again left not one trace of any of them on our plates. The creme brule had a shatteringly good burnt sugar topping and the hush puppies a tasty crunchy crust that were delightful. We will certainly be back. The best part of all is that all of this was gluten free but if you weren't in on the secret you'd never know it. Dietary restrictions: Everything gluten free
Excellent/friendly service & tastiest gluten free Fish we've had since diagnosed Celiac >10yrs ago. The Onion Rings are amazing and with full GF menu we'll be going back again try something else...Food: 5/5
So it's weird that this place is attached to/in a gym. Just is, but I get it, location worked and the pool can get restaurant service. The ambiance and seating is very nice with a patio option I went on a DEAD day, literally no one else there and my server was nice and attentive. My food tasted good but was a bit cold, which was a bummer. And tried a nonalcoholic version of a drink that told me why they don't have a "mocktail" section on their menu...not their specialty. I think it's a good spot, likely filling a need for an area without many sit down restaurants and say give it a try. All of that said, if you need gluten free food, ABSOLUTELY go here. Amazing menu options and entirely GF. Well worth a trip for that. Dietary restrictions: Entirely Gluten Free Restaurant
Very underwhelming and inexperienced servers. I came here with high hopes after reading some raving reviews. Walking in, it looked it fit the price ranges on the menu, very nice ambience. I was wanting to treat my gf for dinner and we were both so excited after reviewing their menu online the night prior. She called to confirm they were family friendly and made a reservation indicating we had a preschooler. Reservation was at 6:15pm at when we arrived for 3 people. We were one of the first tables indoors and definitely placed our orders before any other table. We ordered the following items below at the latest 6:30pm. My son was complaining how long the food was taking. To our surprise, another table that came later got their food first. Finally by 7:10pm all our dishes came at the same time. The server warned the plates were hot. Yes, they were hot but the food was only lukewarm. He provided no steak knives until we asked. - truffle parmesan fries: temperature was lukewarm and tasted no truffle - salt & pepper chicken wings: nothing to highlight - Wagyu tartare: it was not cold enough and the flavour was mediocre - brussel sprouts: this was the only decent dish of all. They have a spicy mayo at the bottom which boosted the flavours - steak dinner 10 oz: Asked for med rare, by the time we got the steak knives to eat it, it was medium. The steak was dry and even doused with the terrible au jus was not worth the $39. A table sat next to us with 2 children and my gf overheard our same waiter verbally offering them a kids menu. We were surprised as no specials, soup of the day, or kids menu were made known to us. When we asked for the bill, I asked the server about it and he confirmed there was. I said it would have been nice to know there's a kids menu from the beginning considering we made a reservation and indicated we have a child. He was very non-chalant about it and replied with "Oh." The bill was over $110 and the tip option defaults to a min. 18% and with the server hovering while you're paying, was hard to see if there was a custom tip option. We really wanted to love this place and have it be a regular go-to but the overall experience was terrible.
I highly recommend Selia restaurant. Best gluten free food I’ve ever had! Everything on the menu is gluten and nut free. The onion rings were the best I’ve ever had - even ones with gluten! At first I thought the prices were high but upon reflection I believe they are on par and the food is a step above the rest. Usually There’s an up charge for gf and very few options. But not at Selia! They have decent portion sizes. The Selia side salad was great. I had the Portobello Brie burger and the bun was a great combination of a flat bread and a skinny focaccia. I can’t wait to return! Dietary restrictions: 100% gluten free 100% nut free
Absolutely amazing meal! I went with my friend who is celiac and had tried Selia bar prior to our visit. She raved about it so much that I had to give it a try. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. First, the location is great. Lots of parking. We made reservations just in case but it didn’t end up being too busy. We ordered the steak frites and added the onion aioli. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The garlic bread was delicious, couldn’t even tell it was gluten free. The onion rings and fries were amazing too, especially with the aioli. We also ordered the Caesar salad and added fried chicken. Again, you couldn’t tell it was gluten free. Everything was super flavourful and fresh. The service was outstanding. The staff were friendly and courteous. Overall, we absolutely loved our experience at Selia bar. I can see why my friend wanted to return. We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.
A great place to go to if you're looking for a gluten free restaurant option. The staffs were friendly and offered great service. However, the menu options are a bit limited, and the prices are a little high as well.
Selia has become one of my favourite places to dine over the past year, I love their food and the environment. However I have been finding that they change the food quite often. For example one of my favourite meals was the chicken tenders and fries, when I went back about 2 weeks ago they were using completely different chicken tenders and coating which I didn’t find as good, similar with the fries, they used to have these delicious thick cut fries but now they are much skinnier. I will continue to come back as I love this restaurant however I would appreciate the food/ingredients being more consistent and the same with each time I visit.
