On Saturday, Jan 28 we went to the Saratoga store, looking to purchase a new bathroom sink and get ideas for the replacement kitchen sink. We walked out and purchased elsewhere - Central Supply, Scotia - as we couldn't get waited on. The sales individual was on the phone, which wasn't the problem. What was the problem is that he did everything he could to avoid making eye contact (ducking his head, turning away from us, etc). Had this person at least acknowledged our presence and indicated that he was aware that we were potential customers (we are PAST, but NEVER future customers), we would have waited to him to conclude his current business. Additionally, there were several people in the back, none of which made an effort to see if we needed help. When he got off the phone, he got up and waied on another customer who obviously had been waiting for him too. Even then, he completely ignored us although we were standing right in front of his desk - not even a nod. While this in itself wasn't a very high value purchase at a few bucks over $100 for a Kohler sink, our future purchases for the kitchen as well as two other baths that need updating will be considerably more. This is a competitive market place with Central, Colonial, Home Depot and others all selling Kohler or other well known brands. No customer should be treated that way. Pretending he didn't see us when we were standing right in front of him was an avoidance that didn't work with us.
