Second Street Grill

We were looking for a place for a beer and a snack. This was close by so we thought we'd check it out since we aren't from town and are just visiting. Luckily it was happy hour so we ordered nachos to go with our beers. They were great. When I first read the description of the toppings I wasn't so sure but the flavors mix perfectly. And they don't use regular tortilla chips. They make their own using their own pizza dough which is then deep fried. The taste if definitely different but like I said it all works. It's like a pizza on nachos. I highly recommend them!

The breakfast is delicious and the service is excellent. I had the chicken fried steak which is smothered in a delicious gravy and comes with two eggs, hash browns, and toast. The steak can be cut with a fork, the eggs were perfect, and the gravy was the best I've ever had on a chicken fried steak--different than a traditional country gravy but SO good. The portion is large and I was full about 3/4 of the way through the meal (and I can usually eat quite a lot). The coffee was hot and my mug was never empty. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere and really good food. During one weekend stay in Yakima we ate dinner and lunch there! Highly recommended!

Went on a super busy night, there was a 45 minute wait, but the owner got us seated in about 20 minutes. And the server was excellent, he made sure to serve us promptly before a large reservation arrived and still continued to check in on us afterwards. The food was good and the restaurant itself has a nice feel to it.

A great place to go out with friends on a Friday evening - they were busy but not horribly so. The food and drinks were awesome!
