We have been going to this camp ground for 5 years now. It is one of the better camp grounds we have camped at. The New Owners are working hard to make the camp ground a better and more friendly place. Yes the speed Limit is 5 MPH!!!! that is because there are little kids all over the place riding bikes and playing in the road... Keep that in mind when you are told not to speed. Great Job Sharon and Dan

Cabin was rustic to say the least!! Writing all over the walls, broken windows, toilet was not fastened level, loft floor was not secured and railing was not complete. During the night we saw 6 RATS in the middle of the floor. When we contacted management the next morning he was very rude and said we were making it up about the RATS and the pictures we provided were photoshoped. We left at 5am the first night we stayed!! We didn't want our money back just letting them know our issues and we wouldn't be back.

There is NO sandy beach, there is NO wifi. The cabins are old and not kept up. The pool is green. The toilet is the cabin smells of old pee. I would not recommend this place to anyone and if I could get money back I would.

Worst campground we have ever stayed in. Upon arrival at the office, the overflowing trash bins and portapottis gave a horrible stench. The access road was in bad shape and served as the location of 4 sites, one across from the dump station. These sites were available for the drop-ins like us, while the seasonal had all the good sites takeN . Meanwhile., this road was some kind of access road for construction vehicles, dump trucks, public works trucks, involved with road resurfacing on the other side of the railroad tracks. As an access road, all the cars passing by had to stare and point for some reason, as well as all of the kids bike riding took place on this road. In other words the lay out of place is ridiculous, lacks privacy and peace and quiet, .not to mention safety. Beach access is minimal. Wifi was free f 15 min, then pay for use. What a ripoff. Pay for wifi?? The trains passed twice a day with whistles blaring, through an unmarked crossing 300 ft from our site! The grounds were dirty and had not been raked or mowed. The cottages were not well maintained( read other reviews on cottages) could only assume the pool would not be managed well either judging by everything else, thus no swim. Positives? Loons on the lake, tall trees. Try the campground next door, Christie's, might be better. Do not stay here.

We rented a cabin. Arrived and place was filthy. Dirty dishes in sink, spider webs in every window, place smelled strong of urine, spiders in refrigerator, grease all over stove, peeling lead paint, beds upstairs were covered with dead bugs. I would not sleep on them. I slept in my lawn chair on porch fighting mosquitos because screens had holes in them. The dock was wobbly with Dead fish laying in the bottom of the water at end of dock. New owners refused to refund any money or compensate for the situation. The man who owned the place was pleasant and personal but his wife was like a prison gaurd. She was an not nice from the time we arrived. She approached us not 5 minutes after entering the campground complaining we were driving over 5 miles per hour which We were not. The road had big rocks pushing up thru tar so you had to be very careful not to wreck your car. Also there is a train that comes thru morning and night. Years ago the Tannery let the toxic chemicals into the water and it went into this lake. This place is not user friendly!
