We are a group of 8 celebrating a birthday and the service was excellent. Carolina, the waiter, was so passionate about the job the I fall in love for the meal even before it arrive. Congratulations for the wonderful staff and the cozy space.
We had a sensational and highly memorable meal at Saint Sebastian! The restaurant may look unassuming from the outside, but inside the atmosphere is cosy, the staff are friendly and the food and drinks are outstanding. I’ve eaten a lot of overpriced, underwhelming meals in Paris. This was not one of them. We loved the small touches — the fact that all the wine was organic and the surprise amuse bouche. The menu was small perfect! but so inventive — even choosing between three mains was tough, but the two we shared were divine. The best part by far was the focus on provenance and sustainability. All ingredients are sourced locally, to the point that one of the fruity desserts had been invented that morning because the chef wasn’t happy with the peaches on offer. Hardly anything goes to waste — they’ve almost eliminated plastic and cardboard from their supply chain and they recycle any water used in the cooking process. This attention to detail and aspiration for perfection is clear in every bite and on every plate. I would highly, highly recommend anyone to visit this restaurant — it will leave you feeling full of delicious food and hope that others in the industry will follow suit.
This place is well known and always booked for a reason, the dishes were expertly crafted, the flavors were very well thought out, and the wine list was memorable. The decor/ambiance was lacking a bit for me; you can see it's an old school restaurant space, but they have an open kitchen with modern furniture, so it felt a bit disconnected for me. But still a great dining experience
Delicious food! Loved the boudin noir, so nice and full of flavor. The asparagus were very tasty too. Nice fish and overall the lamb. The dessert with “champurrado” Mexican corn-based drink was original and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Great cocktail menu. Loved the variety of wine too.
This space was very elegant and chic. We appreciated the creativity and presentation behind each dish, but none of them ‘wowed’ us in flavour for the price point. We loved our experience regardless.
Good wines, great food. Would recommend! They advise you to take entree, plat and dessert, and this is probably the best thing to do because the portions are quite small. Definitely would go back!
Absolutely fantastic meal! We came in hoping to share just a few small plates and the staff was so amazing and passionate about the offerings in the menu that we ended up getting 2-3 of the main plates and the food did not disappoint. We ordered the chocolate cake with hazelnut whip cream and it was one of the best things I’ve had in a very long while. Outstanding food and drink for the price I. Paris!
Food was okay but not great. Given the price, the food should have been much better. Especially some of the dishes didn’t feel freshly made… staff was amazing though, hence two stars. + after reading the reply from the restaurant, I decided to add more information to avoid misunderstanding. I didn’t mean to say the ingredient was old, rather, I was talking more about the timing of the food being made and being served. For example, the deep fried snacks weren’t crispy or warm, and the main dishes weren’t served warm either, making us think that there was a long wait between the time the food was made, and the time it was served to our table. For this reason, none of the food was “great”. Chicken especially was quite disappointing. As the dinner for two costed around 120eur, we expected something more. But as already mentioned, the staff was fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
By far the best meal of our trip to Paris served by a delightful group of people, Tom in particular deserves a huge amount of praise. Banging wine list too.
WOW!!!. Staff was incredibly friendly. The mood and the music were the perfect starters. Everything we ordered was beyond amazing. As Mexican this was such a warm hug and welcome from Paris. Def a night to remember.
