So very sad to see the bare walls. It's so close to me. Great deals on what's left though... even selling the clothes racks. The only Sears store on the Peninsula. Even though this store is closing, which must be difficult for the staff, I still give it a 4-star rating. The staff was smiling and very helpful. Bless their hearts. Sears - you can be proud of them!!!
I purchased their top of the line Kenmore Elite refrigerator after 1 year freezer stopped working called in their warranty department set up a appointment no one showed up and never called me . so I called again they came out and told me it needed a circuit board so I paid $300.00 and 2 weeks later they came and installed it . Didn't fix freezer and ice maker and water dispenser stop working , so I called again and 2 weeks later they came back and found that they had left a plug unplugged on new circuit board . so freezer still doesn't work I called again and 2 weeks later they came out and said they need to replace the compressor, a 3way valve ,and 2 other parts but it will be covered under warranty so they ordered parts set up a date to come back 2 weeks later parts did not come in and they could not tell when they would be in . so now 3 weeks later parts are in finally but its going to be 2 more weeks before they come and install them . so almost 3 months with no freezer and I've called customer service and they said they would have some one call me about all the problems . I'm still waiting no call yet The extended warranty I called also to complain they also said they get someone to call no call yet . Calvin Riddick
I visited Sears looking for a chainsaw in advance of Hurricane Florence. The two gentlemen who waited on me were very very friendly and helpful. They had one that I was able to buy at a very reasonable price. Hard to beat that kind of service.
Terrible customer service! We went there looking for a washer and dryer and every one we picked out was out of stock so we ended up having to buy the showcase ones. Once we placed our order it took an hour to cash out between pricing and the salesman going back and forth to his manager who was sitting on a bed not helping so he kept having to go back to her rather than getting up and helping her employee. Between refunds and ringing up items twice and missing other items I was beyond frustrated by the time I left. They take your number and requested appointment time and tell you a guy will be contacting you to confirm your appointment and give an actual time but it may not be that day depending on how many orders he has. Three days later and the night before my morning appointment I still have not heard anything. When I called the store the person on the corporate line could not help me because my number was not coming up with the order. The person at the store on the phone was rude and told me that the guy would be contacting me tomorrow morning to confirm the same morning my appointment is scheduled for. Considering they said it may not even happen that morning I am supposed to stay home waiting for a phone call for the person to maybe not even be able to come that day? Crappy attitudes and no regard for other peoples time!
CAN I GIVE 0 stars!!!!!! So today is February 6th 2018 and on Black Friday 2017 I went and put 4 appliances on layaway for a home we were building. After review of our appliances we found out the refrigerator was not 5 star as the sales guy mentioned but its actually a 3 Star because it didn’t last longer then 16months. So the very next day I called the store to find out how to return the refrigerator and put a different one on layaway. The guy that helped me is who I spoke to and he gave me a very hard time about returning it but said I needed to call a 1-800# I called that number and they told me I needed to go to the store. Now I’m frustrated and go in the store to the same guy that had been helping me and he said I was wrong I needed to call and he called while I was in store. I cancelled everything!!! After a week of no refund I tried to call the store and left multiple messages and no one called me back. I went to the store I live an hour away and they told me it would take 21 days for me refund and that I could call customer care and they may be able to get it to me sooner. I called customer care and they said it took 21 days to find out if I DESERVED a refund!! Ok now I’m ticked off!! I went to my bank and luckily they fronted me the money. Fast forward to now I get a call saying they tried to mail me my check to an address that does not have a house on it but it was returned they have it for me. I go to pick it up THEY HAVE HAD THE CHECK SINCE 12-18-2017!!!!! Awful customer service and lots of attitude!!!!!
I bought an expensive mattress and foundation about two weeks ago. I had to call and reschedule delivery because it was initially at a time that worked best for them. Rescheduled, and the day of the delivery they were late. I paid for the haul away service and was told they couldn't take the old items because their truck was too full. I've left numerous surveys/comments requesting a manager to call me. Three weeks later and no call. Not impressed with this business, I'd recommend you drive past this one.
Took almost 3 hours for 2 tires and an alignment with an appointment at their Auto Center. They told me they could do it in 2 hours. Poor customer service. Didn't notice or care that they were running behind. This is almost exactly the same experience I had last year when I got the other 2 tires. Take your business elsewhere.
Sad to see Sears closing after all these years. They still have a lot of merchandise to sell, but the second floor is empty. You can find a lot of good deals, however Craftsman tools are no longer the quality that they once were.
This is by far the worst Sears I've ever been to in my entire life! I never write reviews, but this place was horrific. The employees completely discriminated against my wife. At first they ignored her questions several times. Following that the employees were rude, very short and kept repeating themselves in sarcasm. They answered my questions without any issues. I couldn't figure it out at first, but then I caught on to what was going on. I'm black so they were kosher with me, but my wife is white. Bottom line is if you are not African American you're forewarned you will be discriminated against at this Sears I promise you!
