So much nostalgic items for your perusal all in one grocery place! Quite clean and they hold a variety of Asian goods, not just Filipino-specific ones. The food stalls were also quite good depending on what you're in the mood for. No pictures of the food, unfortunately, and not much of the place either as we were too busy browsing. Visit was about 4 months ago
The experience in my opinion exceeded my expectations. The shelves of the store were nicely kept and well stocked. The staff were really helpful in helping me find specific products. The store was well lit and cleaned thoroughly.
Your one stop shop for Filipino food! Enjoy their wide array of Filipino food from BBQ, soups, baked good, or get crazy and get a whole roasted pig! They’re not there to judge! They’re there to help with a smile! The food is the best part in my opinion. The groceries are typically more expensive that your Loblaws primarily because it’s a lot of imports. I personally don’t make uses of the fresh seafood, but if you’re that guy, head there! Find me here on a Sunday munching on my favourite Chicken Inasal and rice for less that $13.
Got some packaged Tinapasilog and the rice is hard rock like it’s been sitting in the warmer for hours, fried egg’s too dry and hard too. Some of the rice are either too hard or soggy not sure why they still sell the packaged Silogs for regular price when it doesn’t taste fresh anymore.
Expensive food & grocery items. The customer service is not great. Fresh Pandesal is worth the visit, but only when they have it. I waited in line for almost 7 minutes only to be turned away because they were out. Marketing sign states they have it freshly baked all day -- not true.
You can find various cooking material hereAsian cooking materialbut it's so far from Winnipeg and somehow high price. And the packaged food is not very delicious though. Not worth for 40 mins driving.
Seafood City Supermarket is a decent grocery store to visit if you're looking for a variety of fresh seafood options. The store is well-stocked with a wide range of fish, shellfish, and other seafood items, and the quality of the products is generally good. One thing I appreciate about this store is that it has a good selection of Filipino groceries and other specialty items. It can be difficult to find some of these products elsewhere, so it's nice to have them available here. However, there are a few downsides to the store. The layout can be confusing, and it can be difficult to find specific items if you're not familiar with the store. The prices are also on the higher side compared to other grocery stores in the area, especially for the seafood items. Another issue is that the store can get quite crowded, especially on weekends. This can make it difficult to navigate the aisles and find what you're looking for. Overall, Seafood City Supermarket is a decent store to visit if you're looking for fresh seafood and Filipino groceries. Just be prepared for higher prices and potentially crowded conditions.
always clean! well organized and has lots of different food options. staff have phones on the floor which has made for a few encounters where my cashier has been more interested in using instagram than scanning my items seriously, lol but they’re usually very kind.
Went in to buy seafood and ended up eating lunch. Very good food, reasonable price and portions. HUGE selection from 2 separate prepared food counters. It is actually a full on supermarket with a seafood selection that is quite good. The bakery is a hidden gem. Bought half a dozen cream cheese buns and couldn't resist an extra pre-wrapped meal to go. We will definitely shop here again.
Love going to Seafood City. Not just the Filipino products but the ready made food is always awesome. Even if I don't need to do groceries. I just love eating at the Noodle house. Best Filipino soup.
