The Ambience is different here, it's positive : As you enter you are definitely gonna feel hungry for food. The food being cooked and presented is nice. Staff well dressed in uniform, clean and everyone acknowledges you. If you want to skip food, it's also a good place to do your grocery. I find it a bit expensive than Lablaws/ Walmart. But for sure this place is recommended
I came specifically for the hot food at Grill City which is what my review is based on. Ordered a value combo that consisted of BBQ chicken on a stick, a huge serving of rice, and chicken adobo. BBQ chicken on a stick was ok... It lacked flavor. Chicken adobo was really good and the sauce from it made the rice yummy. The employees were friendly. The dining area is a madhouse. So many families just come here to chill letting their kids run around like animals which prevents you from fully enjoying your meal.
Im in FILIPINO HEAVEN!!! I ordered pork bbq, bagnet sisig, dinuguan, pork bagnet and of course rice! PORK BBQ and BAGNET SISIG are !!! The dinuguan and pork bagnet I didn't care too much. The dinuguan was bland and has more oil than the actual dinuguan sauce. Medyo nakakaumay. The bagnet was ok, I enjoyed the crispy skin more though. I bought leche flan from the grocery all housed in the same building!. It was really good! Creamy and rich! If you miss Filipino food this place is a gem. Filipino grocery, Filipino food court, Filipino music in the background, Filipino snack food stalls like lugaw, fishball, and the energizing Filipino vibe altogether is just an immersive experience. If you miss home, this is the closest you can get. A must when in EDMONTON!!! Customer service is great too! Keep it up! It's surrounded by hotels in walking distance. I stayed at comfort inn west Edmonton. Literally just beside seafood city! Score!!!
For Filipino and Asian ingredients this is a great place to shop! We buy larger sizes of commonly used sauces here, at a better value. The seafood and bakery are worthwhile to check out. The variety of food cooking by the entrance is hard to resist when it all looks and smells delicious. Grilled meat is always intriguing! The veggie selection is special too!
I had never been here before until this visit. I was on a mission to find some specific Mayo for the daughter. And this place did come through. And while I was there I decided to check out the food options that they had. It was a good chance to get a little bit of an experience with other cultures foods. And I must say that the staff were very friendly and open to helping me out. Will definitely be going here again for some of the specialty items that they did offer. And to try other variants of foods.
Great Filipino and Asian selection. They also have restaurants inside and they make fresh everyday. You can even smell the grill from the outside and taste from Grill City won’t disappoint. There is also a bakery inside. Truly a one stop shop.
One time shopping for ur family needs if ur looking Asian foods just drop by this place
One of the filipino woman with the large mole next to her eye working by the barbecue area was very rude. Hire better employees that actually want to work there! I witnessed her treating another customer rudely before and good thing she wasn't my server at the time. Usually the people that serve my food there are respectful and very helpful. But she was very sassy and rude. Told me to speak up and then walked further away, I had to tell her to come closer. Then continued to slam the utensils and containers. Very childish…
Certainly, I can expand on my previous review. This establishment is a highly recommended destination for those seeking to purchase Filipino products that are not commonly found elsewhere. Their inventory is extensive and varied, offering a plethora of items that are sure to meet the needs of Filipino cuisine enthusiasts. However, despite the diverse product offerings, the pricing structure of this establishment is somewhat concerning. Many of the items are priced significantly higher than other Filipino stores, and the overall cost of the items can quickly add up. During my most recent visit, I was disappointed to find that the total cost of my purchase of only three items amounted to nearly $100. Furthermore, the quality of the products I purchased during my visit was also subpar. The squid I obtained had a stale aftertaste that detracted from its otherwise appetizing flavor profile. Additionally, the barbeque I purchased lacked moisture and warmth, which was not what I expected given the premium price I paid. In conclusion, while this establishment does provide access to a wide range of unique Filipino products, their pricing structure and quality of products leave something to be desired. Those who choose to patronize this store should be prepared to spend more than they would at other Filipino stores and should carefully inspect their purchases to ensure they meet their expectations.
Very Cramped and they’re clearly not done with the set up. Ordering food at the hot counter is a nightmare, so many staff just talking amongst themselves. Some items are priced extremely high. There was a dead fly stuck in the wrapped corn. Buyer beware, they separated the lotto ticket then stapled it back together and sold them. The two tickets didn’t even match!
