Sea to Summit Trail

Very nice place for hiking. Pay attention to the numbered Trail Tags 50 m apart and green tag without number, in between those numbered blazer [that is follow the green], otherwise you will get lost inadvertently. It is a little challenging route in terms of physical in high elevation, steep and long distance/duration as well as some climbing in one way up. THE MOST IMPORTANT IS WELL PLAN AND PREPARATION watch the last gondola download time. It is worth to take this challenge.

This trail was awesome! Switchbacks up the mountain with some marginally trickier features made it a highlight of our trip out West. Taking in the views at the summit, rewarding yourself with a beer and being able to take the gondola down were all nice cherries on top.

We hiked this October 2022. Along the way, you'll encounter 2 paths. Some people mistakenly went to the Stawamus Chief Trail because they went straight. To go through the Sea to Summit trail, follow the green tag which was on the right. We only met one person on the trail We started around 1:30 and and arrived at the top 6:40. We panicked and thought we weren't gonna make it for the last gondola which was at 7PM check their website for gondola hours because it changes I don't exercise apart from my 20 minute, 2x a week run. I took 2L of water and still had some left. Bring some mosquito repellant and snack bars - but don't litter. There wasn't much views except trees in the beginning. However, you'll see cliffs and magnificent views. Some parts were steep and needed hand+foot work. It's better to start early so you're not in a time pinch.
