Portland has amazing pizza and Scotties just raised the bar! The crust is perfect I've had a lot of crust lol, it stands up to the toppings but isn't tough. Their combinations are delicious, try the Frankie P and the #1. They take online orders but the times fill up quick on a Friday, so plan ahead. Love love love this place.
Great pizza. The crust and toppings were all great and flavorful. The entire pizza was cooked well. I tried the BLT pizza with heirloom tomatoes and it was great combination of flavors including the side slaw that you add to the pie on your own.
Scottie’s is absolutely top notch pie in Portland. It is just so well balanced and full of juxtapositions! Crunch and chew in the crust, just a dream. Outstanding “leoparding” but not burnt, just the right amount of bitter char to complement the naturally sweet and acidic tomato sauce. The cheese is perfectly portioned and distributed well. This is not a greasy cheap-o pizza, this is a pie for enthusiasts. I waited 20 minutes from order to eating. I would wait an hour for this easy. Staff was super sweet and seemed happy. Happy Staff=Good Place! It’s so hard to choose a #1 pizza in Portland, but this very well might be it. Thank you Scottie’s!
I usually LOVE Scotties pizza and highly recommend it when asked where to get the best pizza around. We get it maybe once every couple of months because we don’t splurge often. So bummed it wasn’t up to par the other day. Had to throw out our kale and radicchio salad it was in such rough shape. Pizza was fine but not what we’d remembered. I’m all about supporting small businesses but it’s a bummer when we have to throw our food and money away due to poor quality control.
Neat little pizza Parlor who's pizza packs an impressive punch! I am a pizza connoisseur in my own regard and I was throughly surprised by how good this pizza actually was. We made the drive to PDX from Vancouver and I will say I will do it over and over again. We went in with a game plan on what pizza to order, needless to say that didn't quite work in our favor. They sell out on a regular basis! Again I was shocked to hear such a thing. After explanation, and tasting just how good this pizza actually was, it made total sense. We had our hearts set on the 'DEFINO' But settled on the 'THE #1' we found out you can pre-order online ahead of time, and I mean like 30 days in advance and they are already sold out that far in advance. We will definitely be back and we will get that DEFINO in time! Great staff, better pizza, Scottie's Pizza Parlor SE
Have tried dozens of pizza spots in Portland not an exaggeration, but hadn't yet tried this spot. This is a great pie. Whoever was working the ovens tonight did a masterful job of pushing the crust to the edge-the char was perfection. The sauce was extremely generous, which I worried might make the pizza soggy, but the crust though light held up extremely well. The cheese was solid, the basil was just the right amount. I love pineapple yeah, yeah, but for nearly $5 after the service charge, it definitely wasn't worth it. The crust stands apart as the defining element of this pizza. The staff was also friendly when I was picking up my order. I highly recommend trying this spot if you haven't already. Note: There's a 20% service charge for each order in lieu of a tip, so plan accordingly.
A little pricey but we got the Frankie P and omg it was AMAZING. The sesame seeds on the crust were a little aggressive and came off in clumps but otherwise it was perfect. And they send you with little honey packets for to go orders Also they seemed friendly when I called to check on our order, which is always nice
One of the worst pizzas I have had in the whole city. So much hype around the defino pie and I was lucky enough or maybe unlucky enough to get one of the burnt sad pizzas from them. I have had many a great pie from Scottie’s but this was a disaster with toppings that had been completely burned and charred. Trust me I like a little char on my cupped pepperonis too but this was basically carbon circles of pure black evilnes and basil that looked like brown dried up leaves in November. If I would have pulled this pie out of my oven I would have been embarrassed and sent it to the trash. I tried to contact them via phone twice during business hours but no answered and I would generally avoid writing such a bad review but I feel like after spending close to $40 for a pizza and basically having to throw away half of it this review was appropriate. So in the end avoid the defino pie and stick with what they do best a nice thin crust pie. Hopefully they can make improvements to this simple pie that some how has so much hype. See my attached picture for the unfortunate pizza I purchased.
The defino tastes a lot like a Gino’s East Chicago deep dish. I bet deep dish haters love this slice thoughboth are great . The nw location is great because they’re open more. Nice staff too and kudos for adding %20 . Pizza is done well and with care
Best pizza I’ve had and I really love pizza… like to a fault
