I went to the saint peter branch on Friday afternoon to draw some money that I did not want to draw from teller. There were about 15 people in line before me and only 2 persons servicing and at one point there was only one. Interesting thing is that BNS does not open on Saturday while other banks do. Their service at this branch is below standard comparing from other banks in the same city. I do not think their representatives are trained well.
Due to hours that are horrible for the working class, I had to use an ATM to make a large cash deposit. The ATM took my cash $1000 but failed to deposit it into my account. I called customer service right away and was told to wait 24 hours- I later found out this was false information when I called again to report the money hadn’t appeared.nAfter providing a photo of my receipt I was told the money would get deposited within 10 days. It’s day 15 and still no sign. I called again and waited. 45 minutes for a representative to speak to me and was told it should appear in 3 to 5 days. Still waiting. Once this is resolved, I’ll be switching banks.
Extremely concerning experience – please double-check everythingnnMy credit card was stolen, and I visited this branch to have it cancelled and reissued. I was told the new card would take about 2 weeks because the name needed to be printed on it. I waited over 2 months and received nothing.nnWhen I went back to ask, I was told it was delayed due to the Canada Post strike and that I would receive it “soon.” Something didn’t feel right, so out of curiosity I unblocked the card in the app and tried phone tap, it still worked.nnThe very next day, I noticed an unauthorized charge of $125.nnInstead of returning to the branch, I called the bank’s fraud department directly. That’s when I was shocked to learn that my stolen card was never cancelled and no replacement was ever issued. The fraud team immediately fixed the issue, cancelled the card properly, and I received my new card within one week.nnThis review is to warn others: do not assume the branch has done what they promised. Always confirm directly with the bank or fraud department. The attitude of some staff felt dismissive, almost as if they were doing a personal favor rather than handling a serious security issue.nnA stolen card situation should never be handled this carelessly. Please double-check everything yourself.
In and out in no time at all. They were organized and had all the paperwork I needed to sign ready to go.
I went to get my proof of address verification, and the service was very quick and admirable.nThe guy at the teller helped me out. Thank you for your great service
