Due to hours that are horrible for the working class, I had to use an ATM to make a large cash deposit. The ATM took my cash $1000 but failed to deposit it into my account. I called customer service right away and was told to wait 24 hours- I later found out this was false information when I called again to report the money hadn’t appeared.nAfter providing a photo of my receipt I was told the money would get deposited within 10 days. It’s day 15 and still no sign. I called again and waited. 45 minutes for a representative to speak to me and was told it should appear in 3 to 5 days. Still waiting. Once this is resolved, I’ll be switching banks.

Scotiabank is a pain to deal with. But this branch is the worst. Just spend 30 minutes in a line to cash a cheque, and that is not the first time. It's always like that. No service, inexperienced staff, and they shorten the hours. Unbelievable. I will change to a different bank.

I was ignored by two reps at this branch. Made an appointment online to speak with a rep from the branch. Hazem called and sent me the documentation I needed to provide to refinance my mortgage. I had a follow-up question to which they never replied. Left two voicemail messages over the course of 3 weeks, no response. It's now 3 weeks before the maturity date, so I made an appointment with Omar. They promise they'll work hard to get my application in on time. They never sent me the follow-up email, so I called headquarters. They message these two on Teams, and Omar calls back right away. Again, he promised to help but never sent the information. Scotiabank's service to Islanders is in a sad state. I've had an account here since my first birthday and this is the thanks I get?

great experience, i experienced always that staff form India knows everything about immigration documents and international banking. but overall great experience keep it up

Limited cash withdrawals, holding government checks, crazy reduced hours, and no access to ATMs after 7pm. Why even bother banking with Scotia
