Terrible customer service!!! After being turned away on Friday August 8th despite a decent service on July 26 I then come back today, Monday August 11, only to have a hold put on my small pay check. Now my work place banks with this branch...we are two doors away in the same mall and have been for 16 years ...which is why I opened my account at this branch...I need to be able to cash my pay cheques! A few weeks ago, I had absolutely no issue getting a bank card and depositing my pay cheque. This pay roll rolls around and it is a new story. Where is the consistency? Why are you closing teller service on a Friday at 3pm?nOverall, this experience has been awful and effected my family heavily. As soon as my cheque clears in apparently 5 business days I will be withdrawing it all and closing the account. Im sure another bank will provide better service elsewhere.

Scotiabank elmsdale is the Worst bank I have ever dealt with. The newest bank manager Chealsea is horrible. Doesn’t answer emails ignores phone calls I left Scotiabank and still waiting 6 months later for her to release my investments to my new bank which also can’t get her to respond. They go through management like tissue paper. None of them know what they are doing. Go to any other bank but this one.

Shameless customer service and wait times to get banking matters addressed.nIf you have a banking emergency forget it, you will have to wait over a week to get seen by the person assigned to you.nTellers talk to me like I have three heads, some tellers can't even do basic tasks e.g: photocopying.nI wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone who is serious about taking care of their money.nIt is a shame as this bank was very good in the past.nI will be seeking out a different bank in the near future.

Another really bad experience at this branch. Had a customer service rep by the name of Debbie. She made me feel like I was a huge imposition with a big sigh in response to the answers to her questions. The last person that helped me by the name of Fraser gave me the run around and was responsible for me moving most of my banking needs to RBC. The banks in the city were great, this one is aweful - the customer is always last.

Ananth was able to help me more in one visit than my previous bank was able to in 3 years. I needed a bank that I can trust and that does what makes sense. Scotiabank now has all of my business. Thank you!
