One of the best place for kids 3-12 years old. They can spend the whole day on there.nThe hourly experiments are fascinating and educational. It draws children’s attention and develop their interest!nSome tools and hardware might need upgrade, but they do rotations and some children are not taking good care of them unfortunately. But that’s okay, kids are still having fun there!nThere is a outdoor park one minute away, which is a great park for children as well.nnThe rolling ball equipment outside the science world is also fascinating for children that my child could stare at it for 30 minutes.nnOverall, very fun place and great value for the year pass of you can go more than three times. If you live in Vancouver with a child in the family, this yearly or 2-year pass is a must!
Science World’s geodesic dome is an outstanding example of modern architectural design. Its structure, composed of interconnected triangles, creates a lightweight yet sturdy form that maximizes interior space while minimizing material use. The dome’s geometry allows for an expansive, column-free interior, ideal for large-scale exhibitions. Its placement on the False Creek waterfront enhances the visual impact, making it a key part of Vancouver’s skyline. The balance between functionality and aesthetic appeal makes this building a masterful blend of architecture and science.
Buy tickets via groupon, cheaper! Spent 4 hours here. Great place for toddlers and kids. Fun for adults even. Lots of learning and exhibits. Bring your own food, spaces to rest and refuel.
So perfect for family, so many interactive game with science concept behind, fun and spacious!! The restaurant inside is reasonable price for quick lunch with good food.nnRecommend to go as early as you can because half day isn't enough for the kids.nn** The parking pay machine near our parking spot right outside the science world is currently out of order today, can just walk into the building, pay the parking at the counter 4 hours for CAD$30 if I remember it right together with your science world ticket.
We spent about 3 hours here with 2 kids today. Was able to attend 2 of the scheduled activities- Light and Air. Both shows were very engaging. As a science major myself, I even enjoyed it really much. Coming a weekday may help to avoid crowd so your kids don’t wait on the centers to try out things. I recommend checking out the show schedule first then planning your day there. There is a show every hour. Appreciate this place’s and staff contributions on teaching science and showing love of science.
