Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center

"The Schweinfurth Art Center is a multi-arts center that opened to the public in 1981 through a bequest from Auburn-born architect Julius Schweinfurth. Programs include five exhibits every year that feature regional, national, and international artists. We are known nationally for our annual fiber conference, Quilting by the Lake, and our annual Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibit. We offer an active schedule of educational classes for both children and adults, including pottery, sewing, and fine arts, for people at all levels of experience. We welcome groups for tours and hands-on art classes; we can create a class to fit your needs. The Schweinfurth is where art is made, not just displayed."
