Schaumburg Dinner Club

Stopped in on 10/14/17 Saturday night, for some prime rib. We were early for our 5pm reservations, and enjoyed some fine Old Fashions made by Dave at the bar, overlooking the lake. When the rest of our party arrived, Ashley, our server took our orders and escorted us to our seats when the salads were on the table. Food was great, and service exemplary, with Ashley seeing to our every need, and answering any questions we had. Save room for the schaumtort . It was delicious. Had a great evening and a great meal.

Schaumburg's was a favorite of our parents , who had a home on Fox Lake in Dodge for almost 40 years. We've been going to this Supper Club since we were children, back in the 1970s. The setting is beautiful, on Lake Emily, with a large bar overlooking the lake. The dining rooms are cozy and the food is always excellent. Nightly and weekend specials, including a very good fish fry. Drinks are reasonably priced and always well poured, and the owners, Dave and Candy, are wonderful people!

Awesome meal. Great service. The broasted chicken and dumplings were fantastic. Went with a friend that used to work there, Greg Mills. He had raved about the place and we made a special trip from Oklahoma. There were four of us and none were disappointed. The place is worth the trip.

Knew this place had good food, but out of state and didn't know they wouldn't take a charge card. Had drinks and tried to pay with credit but they said cash only. Had to pass on dinner since we didn't have enough cash. They lost out on $150 table.

The drinks were good. Really that's it. Steak was prepared wrong and missing mushrooms. Even cooked properly it probably wouldn't be good as the meat seemed pretty lousy. Fish was tasteless and dry. Don't ever plan on eating here again...
